I have a build date of 11-19 It was 1-08. I do not expect delivery until 3-01-22. that is my guess.. it give me time to save for bigger down payment..
That's cool you have a build date and a positive attitude. I hope the delays stop and they start getting trucks finished and shipped out.

That would be reasonable for a dealer to sell an order that was turned down by someone who backed out. Yes, that's true that a while back Ford made dealerships confirm orders with IDs since there was a number of dealers doing shady stuff to fill up their lots early 😤 . I do know that my 2 local dealerships have gotten at least 6 Mavericks for stock and sold them all with a $3k markup! Which again makes me mad at Ford when they said at the beginning that retail orders would be filled first before stock, yet we can read a number posts just on this forum how folks are buy Ecoboost from dealers. That's just not right, when you have thousands(?) of people who have ordered in June and July (me) and are still waiting to have a build date. Now I've ordered a unicorn hybrid, so I'm not griping too much yet because hybrids are just getting started in production, but if I was an Ecoboost order I would really be pissed that 6 Maverick were built and sent my local dealership and not one was mine!!
So you blame Ford instead of those customers who either changed their minds or were caught by shady dealers because those customers didn't take the time to get a signed "Buyers Order". The warning is all over this site that if you only have a verbal price agreement or just a DORA signed only by yourself then you are not protected from shady dealerships marking up your truck on delivery.

Your anger should be directed toward those shady dealerships not Ford. If Ford was allowed to sell directly to customers this wouldn't be a problem but Ford is forced to sell to dealerships just look at all those lawsuits from States when they try to sell directly to customers.

or your ford account has email set to opt out of emails from Ford. I keep setting to opt out without actually requesting to opt out.
Not true. I get loads of updates about my F150 and a lot of marketing updates from Ford, but nothing about my Mav order. I called Ford marketing and confirmed my e-mail address so I know they have my info, but I have had no information from them via e-mail. Call Ford (1-800-334-4375) if you need any info about your order (you will need your sales code and order number) and they'll give you any info they have.

That is correct. They will parrot back exactly what you just gave them and nothing more!

This situation kinda blows away a lot of Ford Fan Boys who think the company cares about them. It shows that Job One for all corporations is to make profit for the shareholders. The buck come first and always will. Since September 1st I’ve heard nothing from my dealer except that I will get my truck (and I probably will…..someday). Now, with orders for the year closed out, my 2022 is likely to be rated as 2022 1/2. I’m not going to expect Ford to cut me a deal because my truck will be a half year old when I drive off the lot. Lots of lessons learned here.
Have some patience Francis and calm down, all will be fine.

So for all the comments above…..did any one put a deposit down? And if so does a deposit applied to the price make a difference in when the truck is scheduled/built?
I was told deposits don’t matter

I am sorry but, while it may not be the case for you, this does not mean it isn't "True." This is one reason that a person may not get an email from ford. In fact, I was a person that had the email unintentionally set to opt out. In fact, I found that out when I called the Ford phone number that you listed and they told me that my email was set to opt out. So, during that time, I did not receive any marketing updates or information about my orders. Additionally, I recently logged on to my ford account and once again it had been set for no email. So, it was certainly true in my case, and it is certainly a reason that someone might not receive email. I see no reason why you would say that this is not true.

I was replying to Tim who said "Only way you wouldn't get an email sent to you would be if the dealer did not put your information with email address into the order." My point was that there was another reason a person might not get an email. This is true. This is the post that Tim was responding to:

I was told earlier this week, via phone call I initiated with Ford, that my order shows an update on Oct 30. Specifically, my new production date is now week of Nov 15....actual production date Nov 19. Neither me nor my dealer have received emails regarding this update. Do you have any knowledge as to why updated emails aren't being sent out by FORD? THX

All I can say is that if there is even one exception then it can't always be true. I don't believe the email system is fully automated and there are some employees at Ford that aren't doing their jobs. My Lightning reservation has had a lot of communication but the Maverick order has had none initiated by Ford. My info in the system is correct and like the pic shows, all emails are "on". I was told by FM that when my VIN is issued I can enter it into my Ford account and have more control over the information stream. Since the inception of my order, the person in charge of my account at Ford has had all of the power over communication and I can't affect that.

And yet, it remains the case that this is a reason why a person might not get an email.

I always thought of myself as a patient person, you know, good things come to those who wait kind of guy. But this is really testing me. Ordered 1st week of August, order confirmed within a hour then nothing....crickets, nothing from dealer, nothing from Ford, at least the Bronco order has given me a production date & 2 pushed dates !
I feel your pain, although I ordered 10/7. I received my order confirmation, then nothing. I am learning a new level of patience. This and now waiting since February 2021 for my Starlink dish.

Deposits don't matter. I ordered June 14th and put down $1000 deposit, got my confirmation the same day and have heard nothing since. (Other than I get a FITS kit some day).

The dealerships I visited told me that aside from the demo that was not for sale, the only stock they end up with is customer orders received that were cancelled. I am not sure if this is true, but that is supposedly the only way the end up with any stock to sale. Which is why they request the purchasers ID to place the order so the dealerships cannot put in "fake" orders. Again, not sure of the validity, but that is what I was told by Bellevue and Kent Ford Dealership in WA.
That may be true. I've heard people say they ordered several and took the first one delivered, canceling the others. Others have ordered one then found another already at a dealership and bought that one instead. Who knows the truth tho.
