Don't think it would matter, but I wish there was a screen protector like you can put on your phone, but on the windshield. Got my first chip 1600 miles in. Pretty bad

I had one with 3 cracks about 1/15 th as long as yours are and had my local glass shop repair it within 2 hours before cracks got any dirtier exc and get the best possible penetration and adhesion possible. State Farm Ins covers 100%. Called agent asked if local guy was ok. Agent said yes and work order was on counter at glass company 7-8 minutes later when I got there. Took about 25-30 minutes. When got truck back all windows inside and out were perfectly cleaned and checked for any damage.![]()
Got my first spider crack 2 weeks ago. Its behind my rear view mirror. For the price of a new heated and sound screen window it could stay like that till it cracks some more lmao
Same here 40 years no chips. Bought this mav and bang dang 2 cracksIve been driving 25 years and in the 2 years I’ve had my maverick I’ve had more windshield cracks then the previous 23 years. I’m on my 2nd windshield but the first one had 2 repairs before I replaced it. I finally had to replace it because I got another crack on a road trip and couldn’t get it repaired in time before it spread. Now on my 2nd windshield I have 2 repairs which luckily I was able to repair before they spread.
I even bought the hood deflector which hasn’t done anything to help.
What is it about this vehicle that attracts rocks?
That makes absolutely no sense from a common sense perspective. You're preaching to the choir here.
Maverick is short for rock magnet and rear end crashes.

Wow. A week after purchase, I was rear ended at a light. There was no damage to Bret. But it cracked the Acura's grill that hit me. Then a few days later a Mustang slung a rock right at the lower driver side corner of my windshield. The crack immediately started spreading and was in the center of the windshield before I made it to my destination which was 10 minutes away. I had not been in the truck a good month. You're preaching to the choir here.

Not sure. I have been driving for 55 years and have had two cracked windshields. One was due to a rock and the other was due to excessive heat that caused a crack. I have had my Maverick for 2 years now and have had absolutely no issues at all. Not certain what issue plagues you, but I can assure you, the Maverick is not a "rock magnet".Ive been driving 25 years and in the 2 years I’ve had my maverick I’ve had more windshield cracks then the previous 23 years. I don’t think your good luck cancels out the massive amount of cracked windshields reported here and elsewhere. Not sure. I have been driving for 55 years and have had two cracked windshields.
