Another report from me here about a cracked windshield - non-acoustic. Took it to the dealer on Saturday, waiting to hear about availability.

No impacts from stones or anything. Just seemed to crack on its own. Spidering on the lower corner of the passenger side. Hearing rattling coming from the windshield too. Under 200 miles when it happened.

That's where mine happen with acoustic shield. I also am waiting for the dealer call back on the availability. They said ford will cover it.

Funny as I was typing the previous reply the dealer called said the windshield is available. Unfortunately its coming from factory could be 3 days to a month before it gets to them they have no clue.

When the new Mini-Cooper first came out they had a rash of cracked windshields. Also many showing no signs of rock hits. The Maverick and Cooper are both very UPRIGHT windshields and probably prone to stress and rock cracks. Hood shields should have a little effects on diverting rocks.

I’m at safe light auto glass getting a windshield replaced on another car, not my Mav. Just for kicks, I asked them how much my mav windshield would cost. They have no Maverick windshields available!

My dealer said it's available just comes straight from the factory and thats the issues delivery he said . Looking at the positive at least it's covered.

My (new) 2006 F150's windshield cracked at the lower left corner. Replaced under warranty, no problem.

You guys have your geaters on at the time? Mine cracked on my bmw sitting at a stoplight. I suspect it was from having the heater on defrost full blast. Glass doesn't like temperature change like that

Update dealer called Ford want more pics and video of the shield ....they took so many pics yesterday ugh. I'm sure they are trying to get out of this.

No, QC from factory wants to see if they can figure it out. Could have started in transit on the train. You never know.

Just found cracks, lower passenger side in my acoustic windshield this morning. Going to take it to the dealer tomorrow.
