  1. Bed Mat lifts at freeway speeds. Did you bolt yours down or use adhesive or this only happens to me?

Hi. The mat is black TPE material, seems plenty thick for pickup truck purposes, the mat has 76 reviews, and 67% of the reviews are five star. I'm not going to return it.
  2. Bed Mat lifts at freeway speeds. Did you bolt yours down or use adhesive or this only happens to me?

I purchased a decent quality, fairly popular, inexpensive, custom fit, no name bed mat from Amazon. Issue is at freeway speeds any odd wind gust lifts the back of the mat, big gusts make it flap like it will try and jump out of the bed. Like really quite disturbing when it happened first...
  3. What did your Maverick replace or is it your first?

Replaced a 2008 Honda Ridgeline RT. Purchased it in 2011 with 90K miles for $16,000. Sold it the day after I got the Maverick with 165K miles for $6,000. Really liked everything about that Honda, except the gas mileage. Most recently before the Ridgeline I had Ford Ranger standard cab and...

tried again, actual fordparts.com, using actual part code from Ebay rather than search, now I get $45.00 plus sales tax, free shipping only available IF pickup at local dealer. Still not your deal.

Huh? I get $51.90 plus sales tax.. What am I doing wrong????
  6. Florida Bed cubby and screws

I know what you mean about cost/hassle shipping, but might look at online at pirateship.com pretty good system, print postage at home.
  7. 20% or 25% sale on select Ford accessories (through November 10, 2024)

Reno, Nevada - FYI, tried SAVE20 on a $55 bed storage cubby Oct 28, 2024, code rejected, got "invalid code" message.
  8. The amount of cracked windshields is absurd.

At 830 miles caught a rock "out of nowhere", damn! However, a JB Weld kit from Walmart for about $12 did a fantastic repair job. If you have just a small divot, I recommend trying do it yourself.
  9. Say you had the cash to buy a Maverick outright and not have to make payments.

Interest adds to the total cost of the vehicle. Hypothetically a low interest rate loan would only make sense if inflation was runaway, and your income was keeping even with inflation. Probably never happen, so if you have the cash, use it.
  10. Back Window - added a little protection and a little style

I used two yardsticks laid flat for a guide to be sure there was a good drainage gap below. I live in dry Nevada, but I used to live on the coast, and I know how important drainage is.
  11. Back Window - added a little protection and a little style

Silver, I think it is just reflecting the blue sky at dusk....
  12. What essential staple items do you keep in your Maverick?

For me it is my XL Maverick Gas Station/Convenience Store soda fountain cup for refills. saves me money and helps save the landfill too. Works for refills at most any convenience market, Bonus!
  13. Back Window - added a little protection and a little style

The exposed bottom edge of the rear window looked awfully vulnerable to accidental damage by shifting loads or clumsy loading of junk for the dump (guilty on my previous truck). So I added a strip of common 2" black/chrome body side molding (this product was off Amazon). Plus it reminds me of...
  14. How is $29,500 OTD for new 24 xl hybrid???

FYI - Today 9-11-24 I bought a XLT ecoboost AWD with 4Ktow package at Corwin Ford in Reno Nevada. MSRP $30,980 discounted price plus the $500 dealer doc fee was $29,531. So got about $1,449 net discount off MSRP. The price today was about $1,200 less than their best deal I could negotiate on...
  15. fyi, my Maverick price negotiations in Reno, NV so far.

I just posted this on Reddit, thought someone here might llke to read it too. Remember, anything you pay sales tax on, such as a Doc Fee, should be added into the price to see if you are getting close to MSRP. In hindsight maybe I should have taken one of the deals here, but like lots of people...
  16. Wisconsin 2024 XLT HYBRID @ MSRP NE WISCONSIN

I live in Reno NV. Seems a just a few of weeks ago dealers still could pre-sell arriving inventory with up to a $5,000 markup. Yesterday there were four Mavericks sitting on the lot, and the salesman swore they were going to sell them MSRP with zero additional markup or mandatory addons. Has...
