It will be interesting to see how it treats them. And I'm sure we'll get some unvarnished opinions on things like the plastics, rattles and other things we try to ignore/justify. But I bet they'll fall in love with the overall utility.

0 - 60 mph in 7.4 seconds. Every time I see one of these reviews, the reviewing party never mentions what mode they are in. I will assume "normal"? I may have to experiment with mine. I do know it really seems to launch well and picks up speed much quicker in "sport' Anyone else know what mode they are using?

And the fuel economy merits mention: Over the first few thousand miles we've averaged an impressive 34 mpg.
In what savage manner are they driving a hybrid that they are averaging 34 MPG?!

WTF C&D?!

My wife drives....enthusiastically.....and manages to pull 37. (HWY)

Depending upon the speed of the trip, temperature, use of heat and a/c, pushing snow, how much I am late, etc. I average anywhere from 40mpg to 64mpg, and I'm always carrying 500lbs of load. There is something wrong with those braindead C/D drivers who only get that disgusting mileage. Outside of towns I can easily get 34mpg with the EcoBoost model, so I'm wondering what they bought a Hybrid for when they have no idea how to use a gas pedal.

Good question. I'm usually in the 40-50 range.

So am I. I think the job description for a C&D test driver requires a lead foot. Plus it doesn't hurt to drive like us old folks on a permanent vacation.

And once again, they underscored the most annoying dislike - easily scratched plastic. C'mon Farley...we like to rough and tumble once in a while. Find us a solution to this problem!

Only time I’m averaging around 34mpg is dead of winter. Right now I’m averaging around 40.5mpg.

I am averaging about 35-36 in my hybrid. But, 80% of my driving is interstate, 80-84 mph. Very good if you ask me. The occasional short trip in our small town gets me 40-42 mpg.

That was mind-blowing to me, too. They should have included some info on how they were driving those 3,772 miles in their Mav. They could have been continuously lead-footing it or in constant Sport Mode or taking on hilly terrain. The worst fuel economy I've ever had in my hybrid Mav was 39MPG -- and that was just for one tankful, doing a lot of interstate hwy trips, under the coldest seasonal conditions, and before I learned how to work with the hybrid system.

TFL put out a video yesterday where they said they're buying an AWD hybrid. They were all bummed because you couldn't get the FX4 package. They end to "abuse" it like they do all their vehicle. By "abuse", I don't mean in a bad way. They take it off road and test capabilities in some extreme scenarios. Of the two, I'll be more interested in what TFL says than C&D.

That's really low. I have a 22 and average about 43mpg - I always fill up and log the mileage and fuel used rather than rely on the dash estimate. My wife has a 23 and gets about 38mpg, she's a leadfoot.
