I believe that is configurable in settings. The thing I don’t like about Waze is that it wont show you the speed limit unless either you exceed or match it exactlly.
Happy I gave them a call
Wow, thank you! I really should dig down in these things! I am going to have to hand in my “Nerd-card”.I believe that is configurable in settings.
- Open Waze
- Tap

- Tap Settings
- Tap Speedometer
- Turn on "Show on map"
- Set your speedometer preferences:
- Tap Show speed limit and select when you want to see the speed limit
- Tap Speeding threshold and select what Waze should consider speeding
- Turn on "Alert when speeding" to hear a sound when you reach the speed limit

The difference between the two, while maybe for you....nuanced, is huge to others. Mapping data is shared yes, but other things set Waze apart.Didn't say it was Google maps, said it was Google. As in, Google owns Waze.![]()
English seems hard to understand, again I never said it was Google maps, or anything like it. Simply that it is owned by Google. The difference between the two, while maybe for you....nuanced, is huge to others. Mapping data is shared yes, but other things set Waze apart.
I use Google maps because it shows traffic, don’t know why Apple couldn’t show traffic on their maps too.Which do you prefer? Apple or Google maps for CarPlay in Maverick XL. And reason
I use Wayze been using for year's. I like their platform, map is more detailed also. Notifications are way better also. Just my 2 centsI've used both in my lariat. I have no preference to be honest, they both have provided accurate directions for me which is all I care about.
I was just about to see if I could find an app which would substitute the programmed voice instructions with ones of my wife including her intonations and adjectives. Of course I prefer to get the "Turn Here!!" Prior to the intersection!Like all other navigation aids and GPS systems, i immediately turned off all the voice instructions. Nobody likes a nag.
Google Maps. I’m a truck driver and the street view is a real help in finding some of the places I have to go to. So I just continue to use it in my own vehicle. I use Apple Maps as a backup to verify iffy results. Copilot Truck is my workhorse at work. Google and Apple are the backups.Which do you prefer? Apple or Google maps for CarPlay in Maverick XL.
