Apple CarPlay

I like to use Apple map when I drive . Usually I get voice directions along with the visual on the screen. But it stop working. I can’t get it back. However Voice directions do work with Google Maps. What am I missing? I’ve checked and rechecked the app settings and voice directions is showing on, but it’s not working

1. Make sure wifi is turned on... on the phone
2. go into the phone settings on the mav's touchscreen and select phones
3. you'll see 3 options for your phone. 'phone icon' 'music icon' or 'Play Arrow in "c" Circle'. Select the arrow/c which is the CarPlay icon. That'll choose the entire phone device. The other 2 only allow the 'music' or 'phone'

once you select you should have all the options on the screen and you can talk to Siri. If siri doesn't respond move the phone higher to you.

4. You should see the map icon on the left.

You can try resetting the app on your phone. When it happens to me I into the phone and delet’s the app and then reinstall it.
