Ok... So, unstated is the Maverick hybrid is not available at launch in the fall...I guess, it's available to order, but not available to own.

That being said, I'm pleased with this release from Ford. It states clearly what's happening and gives me an idea when I can expect my truck. ... Time to replace the O2 sensor in my focus.

Appreciate both this reply and yesterday's with the sticker pic. Would have liked higher on the highway side but the city is very impressive. Looking forward to our new Maverick since the Hummer it is replacing is leaving us tomorrow, and we'll be a one vehicle couple for the first time in our 41 year married life.

Due to high demand, all Maverick Hybrid production for the 2022 model year is expected to be fully reserved by early November. Once all 2022 Maverick Hybrids have been reserved, ordering for Maverick Hybrid will close until reopening next summer.
Wow.

Hopefully this means all existing Hybrid orders will be scheduled by early November.

This... Maverick Hybrid is expected to start shipping in December with the first customer deliveries expected in January 2022 so required state and federal emissions certification can be completed.
So... Apparently the MPG determination and emissions certification are not completed at the same time. (Ford seems to be saying that MPG rating is final now but emissions is not yet finished.)

There's been a lot of speculation about how it gets done, but at least now we have a roadmap.

I really doubt there will be any significant issues with emissions.

Wow. I’m glad I got my order in when I did at the end of September.

CARB emissions for California and the other states that have signed onto it are probably the big state one to be completed.

Ok, so does this mean if I go to Ford today and order one that it will be built in December? Or is it still going to take longer to get the hybrid compared to the eco boost?

I'm also thinking I read somewhere that long term storage was bad for the battery as well. Without taking certain precautions. Of course I guess we should assume they would do so.
I doubt it. There are thousands of F150's sitting waiting for chips. Best they would do is disconnect battery.
