2022 Lariat Lux, 4k, fx4. Had the airbag recall, tail light recall. Thin paint on one rim from factory, dealer replaced. One blown speaker, replaced all of them myself with aftermarket. A few rattles I chased down myself. (Seems common on most vehicles these days). Other than crappy workmanship from the dealer on the airbag recall, all has been pretty good. Despite the early model issues, I love the truck. 7600 miles.

2023 XL Hybrid. Super happy with my truck. I've consistently averaged around 40 mpg including with ski racks, totally loaded bed etc. It drives well, is easy to park and is quite versatile in terms of cargo and passenger carrying capability. Taillight recall was serviced in my driveway by the local dealership. I use my Maverick for a multitude of various tasks and it meets my needs very well. I would not hesitate to buy it again.

Love ours, closest thing we had to an issue was this odd shudder it did maybe five or six times in total, felt and sounded liked you were going over a rumble strip. Got the software updates done on our '22, it's never come back since then in about 6 months.

I have a 2022 Maverick Lariat Hybrid, ordered September 2021 and received it in January 2022. Love the truck. Had a few oddball things, primarily with the infotainment system. But, otherwise it's been what I've wanted.

37,000 miles on it. Averaged over 40mpg since day one. And that includes a LOT of miles pulling a trailer for various reasons. It's exceeded my expectations, honestly. It's roomier and more comfortable than its outward size appears.

I've been exploring stuff a bit at a time. Discovered the secret hiding space for the jack and looking around for stuff hidden around. I forgot I had the heated steering wheel so that's been nice, heated seats while I still need em. Playing with various controls and finally getting my phone to display a map on the screen.

One of the subtle features I've really liked is the textured dashboard. My last car was a fusion and the glare off the dash was really bad. With the maverick, there's basically none. The visibility is also significantly better with the higher sitting position and all that.

Compared to my previous cars, I also like the doors aren't as long and taller. Climbing out of the fusion was getting pretty bad for me.

I've also already put the underseat storage to use already. It's a good hide-away for all my standard tools I kept in the vehicle for emergencies.

I have yet to experiment with drive modes but I like how it moves in standard, the news is threatening snow soon. Where I would be interested in seeing how the mav performs, I'm more concerned with other people's horrible vehicles running into me.

OP, I mean no personal disrespect. But these "please reassure me" threads always make me visualize somebody standing on the corner with a sign "Hug needed". You're buying a hybrid. Some people (the vast majority???) have great experiences - there are many threads here that are basically group hybrid hugs (and nothing wrong with that). A few owners have bad experiences. A very few owners have had horrible experiences. You're gonna fall into one of those groups, apparently based on random chance.

Kind of reminds me of the scene in so many war movies where, the day before the big battle, some guy looks at his best buddy and says "Promise me I'm going to live through this.". Then he always dies.

It's good to have validation before you pull the trigger. Like any club this one revolves around a central theme and participation is optional. I've enjoyed my Maverick and have gotten some good tips from here. My Maverick is alive and well with zero issues and, with one exception, every Maverick owner I've run across has had the same experience. Are you whining about people whining?

Does my input count? Had an early 22 2.0 AWD Lariat for a year and had no issues other than a few sync/carplay glitches. I loved the truck. Just ordered an XL for daughter.

thank you for your input, but why the eco for road trips? I test drive both and liked both but leaning towards hybrid.

Unless you are in a heavy snow region and/or do a lot of off roading a Hybrid might be good for you. I had an AWD previously and the FWD Hybrid I found does exceptionally well on forest type roads. Did 1,000+ miles of dirt roads this summer in Idaho and Montana and Hybrid took those rough roads easily with FWD.... the Hybrid with 40-44 mpg is a big bonus for the Hybrid. Cruised from Atlanta to Montana at 80 mph and still got 36-40 mpg on the below trip:

Can't speak on the hybrid, but as far as new vehicles go the Mav so far has fared reasonably well. Airbag recall (mine I believe was fixed at the factory), tow package wiring; I have yet to service the turn signal recall.

Other than that, my master window switch died. Rather than deal with the dealership for a minor fix, I just ordered a replacement off ebay and did it myself. Infotainment is glitchy at times, but it's a very minor annoyance.

Otherwise I love this little truck. It has done everything I've asked of it. It's fun to drive and handles itself well in inclement weather and light off roading.

In terms of drive modes, I kind of like the standard mode the best. Eco mode just made acceleration a little more sluggish, and the Regen when coasting was more noticable. Not bad, but the fuel efficiency gains weren't particularly noticable over normal mode. Haven't tried sport yet. Tow/haul mode is useful, it keeps the engine on at all times, nice if you need that additional power for hauling more weight. Wet/slippery was somewhat similar to eco mode, but, and I could have been imagining this, it made the brake pedal feel stiffer, so I wasn't fond of that. It's probably to make the brakes less sensitive in slippery conditions for obvious reasons, but I wasn't a fan.

2023 Lariat hybrid. Delivered April 23. 6.5k miles, Zero issues. Only drive normal mode, enjoy my truck.

Pretty happy with mine over 8900 miles so far. Expected (or better) fuel economy, plenty of space to haul stuff. Minor complaints about all the glitches with the infotainment system, but I've learned to get around most of them. Really hoping that CV joints/boots don't become a recurring issue.

XLT Lariat Luxury hybrid. Ordered Sep 16 2012, delivered July 26 2023. Only 5000 miles. Two software update recalls, both done the same day. 40 mpg so far with 80% hiway miles.
Driver's seat is not as comfortable as my 2017 RAV4. That's about the only negative I have. Love the lane centering and cruise control options. Really like the hybrid.
Would I buy again? Yes. So far, so good. If it turns bad, I'll be at my Toyota dealer in a heartbeat, looking at Prius or Corolla Cross hybrid.

I guess Ford got most of the bugs worked out in the eleven years from when you ordered your Mav, 2012, and when it was delivered in 2023?????
