Hello,
Been lurking this forum since finding out and ordering a Maverick hybrid.
Would like to ease nerves and see who has a hybrid that has little to no problems. I placed an order recently and hesitant on hybrid.
But at the same time it fits all the marks in what I need in a vehicle
-gas efficient( I drive over 40miles a day)
-cargo space(bed to hold oversized items)
-passenger seats(family)
-durable?(cv axles big issue?)
Primarily used as a work vehicle, carrying tools as well, current vehicle gets crammed very fast. Anyways Thanks. And hope to join the club soon.

My first year Mini-Cooper S had 12 recalls/repairs in 1st year
911 Porsche - 5 recalls/minor repairs in five years.
Porsche Cayman S - 2 minor repair - in 1 year

Maverick (Hybrid) - 2 minor recalls on Maverick in 2 1/2 yrs. Loose cable/Ceiling air bag.
Maverick is a winner...some may have had a lot of issue, not mine. The most reliable new vehicle I have ever owned. New model vehicles are prone to more recalls or fixes, not the Maverick.

I’d buy another without hesitation. Still waiting on the fire recall to be done. Super happy with the vehicle
40+mpg overall, not as good in the winter from running heater but still gets 37-38mpg during cold months. Hauls enough for me (washer/dryer, lichen hutch) have the beater F150 for gravel, dirt or anything else

XLT Lariat Luxury hybrid. Ordered Sep 16 2022, delivered July 26 2023. Only 5000 miles. Two software update recalls, both done the same day. 40 mpg so far with 80% hiway miles.
Driver's seat is not as comfortable as my 2017 RAV4. That's about the only negative I have. Love the lane centering and cruise control options. Really like the hybrid.
Would I buy again? Yes. So far, so good. If it turns bad, I'll be at my Toyota dealer in a heartbeat, looking at Prius or Corolla Cross hybrid.

I can't speak to the 2024 model. I have had the 2023 model XLT LUX 1 full year (Hybrid) and have had no mechanical issues.
I drive about 50 miles a day total.
I live in Michigan and this is my second winter with the trucklet. Average mileage for the year, (normal mode for city, day time driving lights off) 47 mpg and some change. Some 9 mile trips, 56 mpg.
My truck has been used at work to hual multiple 1000 pound loads. I put it in haul mode and it's a different truck entirely.
On the freeway I put it in sport and get great mileage when the electric and gas work together. I have been on 2 1600 mile all freeway drives through multiple states and into the mountains.

sounds like you’re all happy with yours! That’s great! I Guess the recalls aren’t that bad minus the fire one it can be very tragic.
Thank you all who have replied this far.
From what I’ve read on Toyota hybrids, they’re very dependable, will definitely keep an eye on them too.

I can't speak with regard to the hybrid but I love my 22 Lariat EcoBoost. My parents bought it new and decided to buy a new 24 and I bought it from them. They loved it and equally love the new one.

that’s good to know, I’m tempted just cause a new truck sounds nice. But I’d regret not waiting for the hybrid for the mpg.
thanks

I have a 2024 XLT hybrid picked up on 11/24/2023 with 2100 miles so far and no issue.

I can get 54 mpg on a street where the average speed is 20-30 mph with lots of stoplights.
My average 45 mpg on daily commute with mostly higher speed street travel and on the
highway I am getting around 40 mpg averaging around 75 mph and doing little to no passing Come to think of it I am not sure how my mpg could get down to the rated 32,
unless there was some extreme speed or very low temperature involved

Loves traffic and the final mile. Electric for days. Not special mpg on the highway at speed.

-cargo space(bed to hold oversized items)
If you need more, rent a truck or trailer! Hardly ever. I've got a hitch and roof rack too.

-passenger seats(family)
Happy wife, happy life. Test drive one. It's good for my 6 year old in a booster.

-durable?(cv axles big issue?)
You're planning on hypermiling right? Just take off nice and easy. Turn off auto hold when parking. Mechanical sympathy.

It really does do it all. Slays summer traffic. I do drive easy in the curves, save the tires. Mountain driving is decent. It's a trucky drive, not a car. On a long road trip, I'd rather the ecoboost (or a sedan).

thank you for your input, but why the eco for road trips? I test drive both and liked both but leaning towards hybrid.

I have had no issues/problems. I just take it in when told oil changes, recalls. It started after sitting for several days in temps that were below 30 degrees. I love my hybrid!!

Mine has been trouble free since picking it up in Feb. last year. Have all those recent little recalls that I haven't bothered with, but nothing major.

Have always been a Honda and Toyota guy and always kinda figured it was going to have some Ford quality control issues, being a low cost, new model. But honestly, Honda and Toyota have just and many issues these days, so brand loyalty is kinda useless since all brands use global manufacturing.

My Maverick has exceeded all my expectations. As far as features to value, there really isn't anything like it. Highly recommend.
