It's in the back. It slides at the push of a button. If you need further explanation, then don't order it. If you need someone to explain it to you, don't order it. If you don't want it, don't order it. Why do you expect others to justify it to you?
Good spot for a utube video here! Maybe staring some yellow guys in blue overalls speaking minionese!

It seems like those rear windows are so small they wouldn't be useful for anything. But even if they were bigger why do people want them? I do remember as a kid riding in the back of pick ups and being able to talk to passengers up front. But not too many people do that nowadays.

It's the one option I added that I want to pull from my order. Convince me otherwise :D
I've seen people haul long items placed through the window from the cab to the back of the truck.

I love mine. It's great for fresh air. I once stuck a couple of long 2x 4s through it.

I've done the same thing a few time with PVC pipes! Worked out great and now that the weather is cooling down I can leave crack open and get a nice airflow through the truck.

It makes it easy to toss the empty beer cans directly through the rear window and into the bed rather than trying to loop through the drivers window and somewhat over the the roof and into the bed at 70 mph...

I have opened it 4 times maybe in a 1 year ownership or 20,000 miles. SO not for very much. Maybe if I ordered the sunroof, it would cause a nice breeze. But no sunroof. Kinda useless, but I'm glad I have it.

When open it improves gas milage by reducing the low pressure area behind the cab:rolleyes::LOL:.

I got it so there wouldn’t be a hole in the dash where the switch goes.😜. Plus it’s cool. Had one on my ranger and it was great.

Good if you have a dog, big enough for them to to stick their head out without worrying about them falling out. Good for long pieces of trim, pipe, or wood from the home improvement store. Good to reach out/in to a cooler. If you have a truck camper/cap you can get some heat/ac to the bed, or to communicate with the passengers if riding in the bed or camper.

It's like any window in your house, some you open all the time, some you never opened since you moved in. Unless you have a Lariat with the electric window, I feel you won't use it at all. To open it manually is hard to reach, small, and unless you need to slide something through it, rarely will be of any use. (just my thought) I have a Lariat, and still never use it.

I have it in both Lariats, an F-150 and the Maverick. The only time I ever use it to communicate with a helper getting the hitch ball exactly under the coupler. I can get it 90% right with the camera, but helper makes it easier to get dead center and no yelling needed with the rear window open. Better ventilation? Nope.

One of the things I'm going to look for in the local junk yard is for any Lariat model to see if it's possible to remove the power slide window motor with the wiring and retro fit into my XLT (once I have it!) This isn't a big thing I'm planning on, but if the opportunity presents itself I'm going to try!
Good luck finding a Lariat in a junk yard. Maybe in a few years from now long after your Maverick has been replaced.

So far I haven’t found a single Maverick in a local junkyard even though I’m seeing more Mavericks on the road around town, which is good because no one wants to see a wrecked Maverick! As far as replacing my Maverick in a few years I don’t think that’s going to happen unless Ford comes out with ST model that catches my eye, otherwise I’m still very happy with my Maverick!
