Believe me, this is not engine braking. The one poster said it sounds like brake pads, which I tend to agree with. It really rumbles and shudders when it occurs. It only began after I jammed on the breaks to avoid hitting a cat.

This is more than rust causing this LOUD grinding/rumbling sound. You can feel the entire truck shuddering. Only happens occasionally.

The other day the yellow indicator lights on my dashboard dimmed. This occurred several times over about 1/2 an hour of driving. There were no other symptoms EXCEPT the regenerative brakes seemed to be vibrating. Both issues went away. Anyone ever see this before?
