I got it to work on WiFi finally. I did the hard reset, tried different WiFi connections. Once it started to download, it took about 40 minutes to download and 10-15 to install. Didn’t get the confirmation screen pop up. But, got a verbal message that said what the pop up would have said.

I've never done an update on my 22 Maverick stereo. Thought it would do it automatically, like Android auto updates. Will have to check it out.

I tried this when I got home from work. After a few tries I got it to take, download, then install after about 10 minutes total. Winning combo for me was truck actually running, not just key on, and my phone hotspot connected and not just the plenty strong house wifi. I left it sit for a bit after the download and install were complete with the key off and out, and went back out in the garage and keyed on and after a minute or so it gave me the audible voice message that the install was successful. And the current version said G2.2.0.1 which it didn't until after it sat dormant for a bit. I'll see if anything has changed tomorrow when I drive it. It's kind a finicky process but that worked in my 23 XLT.

Just completed the update, 15 minutes to download and install. Left the truck for about 15 more minutes & like others, did the on/off cycle twice. Received the audible success message & verified the 2.2.0.1 version. Wasn't having any issues & who knows what if any improvements I'll see but I definitely want to have the latest software.

I guess this is for non Lariat Mavericks only. I have had so many issues with Android Auto since day 1 and was hoping for an update to fix it eventually.

This update was the easiest by far! They seem to be getting better with the updates I did this one in Walmart parking lot on their WiFi and it was done downloading in 20min I shut off the truck and when I came back out and started the truck it said update completed through the speakers.
Anyone see this message pop up after the update completed. No idea what it means.

I used my phones hot spot for Wi-Fi. Connected ok but download stopped at 47% and disconnected after waiting around 15 minutes.

Tried again and downloaded to 100% and got stuck again. Had to start engine after leaving it sit for awhile because of low battery warning. Let engine run for 15 minutes and it never changed. Stuck on downloading.

Turned truck off and let it sit for 30 minutes and checked to see if new version installed. Nope. Tried to download again and download would never start, stuck at 0%. Will try again later.
Ford definitely needs to take a page from and learn how do do it like Tesla's Over the Air Updates......

I just tried to install this update again. Got it to download to 100% for the third or fourth time but it never installs.

I've had an intermittent problem with audio/sound dropping and I've thrown an ACM code. This maybe why I can't install this update. I have an appointment Monday for my first oil change and will have them look at this issue.

This is what I get every now and again with AA Wireless. I have to unplug and plug it back in to get it to work. The update did not fix this as I experienced it once since then.

I have a 23 Lariat non lux and mine updated.
Huh ok I tried and it said it was up to date. I forget is the non lux sync 3 or just the regular sync 2?

I’m fairly sure the non lux is just sync 2 but I’m not all that familiar with the Sync anyways because my last vehicle was a 2007 F150 that didn’t have any Sync at all. On my non lux Maverick I’m mostly just using CarPlay.

If this has already been shared in this thread, my apologies, I did not read all 8 pages...

Everyone seems to have their own 'unique' experience with these updates. I took a WiFi hotspot (not an iPhone) and connected it to the truck in my driveway while parked and started the download - then I went on a drive but left the update screen active. While driving you'll get the 'some features may be disabled' but, in my experience, the update kept downloading in the background and at every stop sign/light I would see that the percentage increased. When I got to my destination, lo-and-behold, the install had already started and it was at 42%. I said in the truck with it running for about 2 more minutes and it finished. I turned the truck off, waited about 5 minutes, turned it back on and got the audible confirmation of the update and verified the current version on the screen.

Hope this helps someone!
