My Daughter calls those Driveway Queens.
I passed another Mav within close proximity over the weekend, and I looked at him and waved. He stared straight ahead the whole time. Apparently, I just wrongly think everyone I see who has a Maverick follows the threads on Maverick Truck Club and Maverick Chat. Some may have happened to see one on a lot and to them it's just a compact truck.

I don't know where you come from, but trust me, 2800 sf houses are not small.

Try living in a 1352 sf 3br, 2bath double-wide with four adults, three cats and two dogs...

We did make the chickens live in the coop once they were big enough, but for a while we had 8 chickens living in the house, too.
I downsized But It’s not small. I used to read to my kids. Big, bigger, biggest. This is step one. Will go for 1500 sf in about 10 yrs.

What's fun for me is how much Maverick owners are like their Model T owner forebears. They, too, would brag about power, real utility, and price--and take pride in their purchase. I have driven F-150's since 1995, primarily because my back likes their seats. (I had one GMC--it lasted a week). But the price is getting beyond me. My current one is paid off and I'm averaging 20 mpg, but the shock was that the difference in gas mileage would pay for a new Maverick. I just hope the same designer is responsible for the Maverick's seats . . .

My friends and I have taken to calling my Maverick a "twuck" (like a little kid would say).

We used to call them "Coffee Shop Trucks". You'd see these lifted trucks with huge tires that never had a speck of dirt or mud on them, usually parked at the coffee shop.

I love it, I lean into it.

I call it a Trucklet and I tell people it is my starter truck while I'm learning how to truck full time.

Everyone has al augh, but everyone loves it.

I try to intentionally park next to the big trucks. I believe most people get a kick out of the Mav, even if they wouldn't buy one.

Where I live, people tend not to say nasty stuff to strangers. If they did, I'd probably just shrug my shoulders and drive off.
How about this answer to our 'little trucks'?
Because I can show my manhood in other ways.

In a parking lot of bro-dozers, soccer mom Volvos and generic SUV blobs, my Maverick draws attention and comments quite frequently. I enjoy the jabs and don't hesitate to have some friendly banter with friends and colleagues. I did not expect it would be my 14 year old niece to take the award for best Maverick insult to date.

While taking my daughter and niece on a short shopping trip in the Mav, my niece remarked that it was quite nice and was "kind of like a beginner truck."

A beginner truck...like I'm just learning to truck!

So funny!

Anyone else with clever Mav insults?
You need to have maverick tailgate wraps printed up with that picture!!!
