Jesus, that sounds like a toxic conversation 😆. He's probably the kinda of guy to drive around with his political views plastered all over his window, along with some racist stickers, and one of a rifle that says "Come and take it".
Oh, you've met my neighbor?!?!?! :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

After all these years of constantly changing parties in the administration they are still acting as if that one party will come in and take those guns. I don't know dude, they had about 20 years in power since Reagan (when most of this BS started), and I still own my guns. Something tells me they don't really want to take my guns.

Also is a good indicator of who has no idea how anything works in this country.

This is exactly why I bought a maverick. Dozens of times a year, we're like, it would be really nice to have a truck, but couldn't justify driving a huge gas guzzler.
Turns out you can rent a pickup truck at Lowe's now. Problem solved...

That is awesome!! And very funny.

I bought the Maverick because I don't need a pickup all that often and loved the features and more importantly the gas mileage. I got 4 doors, heated seats (I know lame), advanced cruse, great gas mileage (my commute is 17 miles) in Atlanta, and I'm replacing a Jeep Grand Cherokee that gets around 16MPG with less features.
Same, I am doubling my Grand Cherokee gas mileage with my Mav hybrid.

a friend of mine has a fit and it rides fine but....,man I'd hate to be in an accident with that it looks like you'd be cooked...
It’s basically a go kart lol. The “Fitbox” is just the work commuter for me, car seats will be going in the mav (y) just waiting for it to ship!

I don't feel the need to think of the Maverick as a truck or compare it to body on frame trucks. If anyone asks I say it's an SUV with a bed. I like that that is what it is and like that it is comfortable like a car.

The problem nowadays is that people don't buy real trucks because they need a truck. They buy them to look cool. I can't tell you how many threads I saw on Tacomaworld where someone bought a Tacoma for this reason and then posted a thread about how shitty it rode or the bad mileage and how they are "going back to a Subaru"

I will take my Taco thru my fields, hook a chain to the hitch and yank a tree down or pull someone out of a ditch with it. I wouldn't do those things with my wife's last SUV nor will I do it with the Maverick.

We drive the Mav on the weekends and I appreciate that I don't have to climb up in it, huge turning radius, bad mileage etc. I'm OK with it not being a truck and love that I can be in a car and have a bed to put something in I wouldn't be able to fit in an SUV cargo area. #shrug#
Well said sir!

I try to intentionally park next to the big trucks. I believe most people get a kick out of the Mav, even if they wouldn't buy one.

Where I live, people tend not to say nasty stuff to strangers. If they did, I'd probably just shrug my shoulders and drive off.
my trick is parking it any hybrid designated spot I can find

I passed another Mav within close proximity over the weekend, and I looked at him and waved. He stared straight ahead the whole time. Apparently, I just wrongly think everyone I see who has a Maverick follows the threads on Maverick Truck Club and Maverick Chat. Some may have happened to see one on a lot and to them it's just a compact truck.

Pretty sure that is gonna happen to me soon. I have my 11yr old trained so well the other day he yells out “Cyber Orange Maverick” and points from the back seat. “Dad you missed that one”🤣
