'23 Hybrid, 43k miles. Get off work one night, truck throws Powertrain Malfunction, Reduced Power, Service Engine errors at me through the FordPass app.
Well I'm outside the bumper to bumper warranty, but still inside the Powertrain warranty, and that's where the errors are, so we good, right...
Hey all,
Last couple of weeks, I've noticed when I really step on the acceleration, the engine makes this faint, hollow kind of wheezing noise. It reminds me of a turbo spooling, which would be fine, except I'm driving a hybrid which doesn't have a turbo.
Anyone else had similar? 45k miles.
Thanks so much to everyone for the responses, sounds like I'm just being overprotective. I'll be sure to get some pictures for you all next time, the little Maverick did great.
Correct, I was using tow/haul mode. I actually just did an 1100 mile road trip earlier this month with a small...
I finally picked up a Bayliner Element M15 (trailered weight 1750lbs) and took it to the lake with my hybrid.
Well, come to find out the ramp I was launching from was a 5% grade. I had to back in WAYYY farther than I felt comfortable. But I'm new to this and I saw other trucks throwing their...
The recirculation mode turns off to prevent fogging of the windshield, so I'm fairly certain it's a moisture sensor that decides for you. Having the AC on will pull moisture out of the air. In my limited experience, you can keep recirculation mode from turning off as often if the AC is turned...
My solution happened by accident. After Android Auto disconnects, it reverts to the last used source. I had my SiriusXM tuned to an actual station when my subscription expired. Station went silent and now so is my truck when it starts up. 😁
Was that with pedal to the floor?
Interesting data as you'd be hard pressed (impossible?) to keep the truck at 38.4mph electric only over that kind of distance on level road with a start-able gas engine.
1.1kWh battery, you were able to travel 1.75 miles on 20.8% of that capacity. That gives...
Have you had time to bust out that calibrated mic yet? FWIW my Kicker definitely did benefit from some break-in time, I'm now very happy with my system for the minimal effort and money invested!
Weird follow up question-- does this apply only to 100% electric mode? I've never really noticed this "enhanced EV power" in EV-only, but perhaps it's not enough of a difference to jump out at you. What I *have* noticed is that sometimes on a cold start, I need a little more power than the...
I'm not going to read this whole 8 page mess, I just wanted to peek in and say I got my private offer after the sale. I made a thread about it if anyone is interested.
If no one has suggested it already, please contact Ford chat support and ask if they have your private offer certificate...
Unrelated to the point of this thread, but can I ask what you do with your Mav that you're putting almost 40k miles/year on it?
Sorry to hear about your issue.
So I got my HS10 installed a two days ago, started with recommended crossover, modest gain, and flat head unit EQ. I was very underwhelmed. So I've been fussing with the settings since, listening to lots of music and frequency sweeps, and here's what I've learned.
The stock system performs...
Sure is. The Japanese car companies seem to be the biggest adopters. It's a good and bad thing-- and for the same reason. You don't have to think about locking your car. 95% of the time it's a charm, but 5% of the time the car can't auto-lock for some reason. It'll chirp at you to let you know...
Six weeks of ownership, 2500 miles, very happy with the purchase. Came from a 2016 Honda Civic.
The pleasant surprises:
Quieter cabin, much more solid driver assist, identical MPG (compared to my Civic).
The awww bummers:
No walk away auto lock, touch screen could be bigger, higher interest...
