My 2023 ecoboost came with an AGM battery, and it died this week after 17 months of ownership. Dealership replaced it under warranty, but never had a new vehicle battery die that soon after purchase.
I live in a town of 12k people and I've only seen one other than mine, but I've seen it a few times parked around town. Mine is avalanche and the other is white.
Brings back memories. I was based at MCAS Yuma in 88-89 and again 94-96. I spent a lot of time camping and 4wheeling in that area and along El Camino del Diablo.
Did you go to Palm Canyon while you were there? Think it's the easternmost stand of native palm trees in the country.
No idea about the brakes as I've only driven my Tremor. I highly recommend this dog hammock thing for the back seat if you want to keep mud and fur off your seats.

I got this backseat pet cover for $22 on Amazon. Seems well made and way cheaper than Ford version. It's black in person. Not sure why my phone camera turned it brownish gray?

While I was waiting for my Maverick to show up, I was checking offers from Vroom, Carmax etc for my '21 CRV. They were offering over $30k in late July and it was down to $27k when my Maverick showed up a week ago. I think the used car prices in general are dropping.
The Tremor suspension really is good. We live on a very bad road with some dips that makes most vehicles do a few bounces before settling down. In the Tremor it's just one quick dip and done. I think the low weight compared to other trucks helps, but the suspension is really good too.
