I have been able to get a bit over 600 miles per tank with mixed driving. But that's me using feather foot and no AC or Heat, which I can do this time of year in Kentucky. Usually more in the 550 range if using heat or air.

800 miles…this is the tops I’ve done yet. Soft-pedaled the last 7 miles before filling up at 800 for latest trip (5350 on the odometer) and did my best on the way home (2nd pic). Probably ran 90% town and country miles/10% interstate.

shark, I was surprised too. Can’t get anywhere near that if I run at Interstate speeds, into headwinds, or climbing (have a Fiesta ST for that).

So, can we add the distance to empty to the trip odometer reading? - I'm not willing to run the tank down to fumes, and will be getting gas (first time), once I'm down to around 75 miles remaining. - Currently ~580 miles, with 119 remaining, and that was after the reset during the test drive. (Reset with ~32 miles on the counter).

So this morning I filled up and it was the first time that I went over 700 miles on one tank. I had 745.6 miles on the odometer to be exact, and about 4 miles of range left in the tank. If you are light footed enough and are fortunate to have the commute to reach this feat you would need to average about 50.7 mpg to make it to 700 miles. On this tank I did take the freeway on multiple occasions, more than I thought would affect my overall mpg, but somehow I still got 53 mpg. There were 4 other times I was averaging over 50 mpg but I filled up around half a tank due to wanting to top off before gas price shooting up. I have been keeping track of all my fill-ups and have averaged 48.9 mpg since I got my XLT in January. I'm loving Maverick and can't wait to finish my audio upgrades, and possibly do some camping/overlanding with it.

So who else has made it to 700?

Picture is from just before I went to fill up.

Some are getting pretty close to 700 days waiting for this damn truck.
We really should seperate the posts from the happy Maverick owners and the rest of us losers still waiting for this thing.

Just remember, if you walk, you get infinite MPG.

The Maverick hybrid physical tank size is approximately 16.5 gallons. Of that, you get an empty notice (MTE 0) after burning 13.8. A long way away from "fumes".

In comparison, the EcoBoost Maverick has a physical tank size of about 19 gallons. An EcoBoost gives an empty notice (MTE 0) after burning 16.5.

Up to you to refuel but knowledge is power to make informed choices.

When you hit 0 MTE you still have about 2 gal left. Pending on how far you are from a gas station, driving habits, or if you carry a can with you, just fill up when it estimates under 50. That way if you have an emergency you can still have that last bit a range.

Either you have won Lithium-ion lottery, or you have figured out the most efficient daily driving style/route. I assume you did not strip down the school bus and super hipermile to do this. Maybe next time you get similar mileage you should try to be the 1st to reach 900mpt.

Anyone else even get close to 58 mpg on 10+ gal? My best ever was 55.7 mpg. I just have to use the freeway sometimes. Plus I added some weight with a sound system, bedliner, and adding some killmat. I will try to max out soon when my family leaves me on vacation for a month and I can just go via city streets only.

Close:
This was before I knew about the "reserve" capacity. Easily an 800 mile tank. Truck came with 11 or 12 miles on the clock. 770.4 was all me.

Edit: looking back at records I drove 20 miles more past "empty" after this photo was taken. Ended up being 790 miles and 14.925 gallons at the pump: my first evidence of reserve capacity and first evidence the computer is a little optimistic on MPG.
