I see allot of people asking how to deactivate the seat belt chime/dinger. Ive read allot of sections in the forum of people trying the F-150 method with no luck. Than it hit me, I said lets see if by some change in hell the manual has a how to. Sure enough it does and even though its in my opinion as useful as a pig with wings I was able to figure it out after allot of cussing.

Set E-brake
Turn on vehicle (not engine)
wait like 5 seconds.
Slowly connect and disconnect the seat belt watching that the seat belt light turns on and off.
Slowly continue this process until the seat belt light begins to flash.
Thats it, your done with that seat belt. Now do the passenger side.

Note: The driver and front passenger warnings switch off independently. When you perform this procedure for one seating position, do not buckle the other position as this cancels the process. Read Steps 1 - 4 before proceeding with the programming procedure. Make sure that: • You set the parking brake. • The transmission is in park (P). • The ignition is off. • You close all vehicle doors. • You unfasten the driver and front passenger seatbelts. 1. Switch the ignition on. Do not start the engine. 2. Wait about one minute until the seat belt warning light switches off. After Step 2, wait an additional five seconds before proceeding with Step 3. Once you start Step 3, you must complete the procedure within 30 seconds. 3. For the seating position you are switching off, fasten then unfasten the seatbelt three times at a moderate speed, ending in the unfastened state. After Step 3, the seatbelt warning light switches on. 4. When the seatbelt warning light is on, fasten then unfasten the seatbelt. After Step 4, the seatbelt warning light flashes for confirmation. This switches the feature off for that seating position if it is currently on. This switches the feature on for that seating position if it is currently off.

I'm going to try this too. I always wear mine, but that warning is a PITA. Having an option to disable in the Settings menu would be too easy and make too much sense.

Worked for me too. I don’t think I can tell the difference. Never paid attention to the chime before

This worked for the driver side but I could not get it to work on the passenger side. Any tips I can try.

Thanks a bunch!

Use the seat belt indicator on the cluster as a guide. 2-3 second delay between buckle and unbuckle. You cant do it to fast.

I'm trying this on 23 Lariat lux EB. So far, no luck. I've tried buckling and unbuckling at different speeds and watching the lights on the dash and I can never get it to flash.
