Lower it with the buttons. They are still connected while the door skin is off. When you press the tabs to release the glass, then you can move it by hand and tape it to the door
You can also use a synthetic "clay" towel from DIY Detail with their Iron Remover. It acts as a clay lube and iron remover at the same time. You essentially knock out 2 steps in one. I used this method before applying their ceramic coating to my Maverick.
What is the PGW windshield? Have you noticed any difference in sound compared to the acoustic glass the lariat came with? I've got a cracked windshield now that Ive been waiting to replace due to the expense. $500 insurance deductible vs $1000 out of pocket is what I was quoted.
50k on Michelin primacy 18" from a 23 lariat blackout package. They had a couple thousand miles left in them, but I ran over a large screw at this point and decided to replace them prior to winter.
I went with cross climate 2s when my OEM finally wore out at 50k. Theyve been great this winter in MI. I got a slightly bigger tire than stock for the 18s. 235-60 r18.
I bought the $47 kit with 34 pieces of amazon CLD sound deadener. This was way more than I needed, but I lined the entire underside of the back seat cubby as well.
For the butyl rope, it looks like I bought a 13ft roll, and that was enough for both front doors.
For the Closed cell foam, it...
Order sound deadening and butyl rope before you pull your door panels off. Otherwise you will end up pulling them back off to chase down rattles afterwards.
I had this exact problem a few months back. The rear brake shield had gotten a rock stuck between it and the rotor and bent itself inward where the rock couldn't get out. I figured it out after jacking the truck up and spinning the wheel and still hearing the rub against metal from the back...
I have a 2023 EB with over 50k miles and new 2025 Hybrid, both with spray in bedliners. Both are very rough on the knees climbing in and out, and I still have issues with hard plastic items sliding in the bed (5gal pails of material I haul for work, coolers, etc).
My check engine light came on the day before I was scheduled to visit the dealership for an oil change and tire rotation. What I was told should have been a two-day wait to get parts and do the replacement for the heat exchanger ended up taking an entire week due to the part not showing up...
Awesome work and effort put in. Did you end up aiming the right tweeter pod differently than the left to direct at the drivers listening position, or keep the design "symmetrical" ? Did you notice a huge difference with directional pods vs the original windshield bounce? I will be curious to...
Does it have a loopback harness in the front for the rear speakers? If you omit using that and just use the front speakers as your signal source, maybe you will keep factory power to your rear and center channel.
I am not familiar with this model. It would probably depend entirely upon whether they have the vehicle specific harnesses for the Maverick. I know the PAC module that I have is not compatible with the 2025 B&O system, as they change the plug to the factory subwoofer from the 22-24 models.
I have the AmpPro in my 23 with B&O. It works for sure. The only odd thing I find after the sound upgrade (didn't pay attention enough if it was there before), is that Android auto, bluetooth, or just Samsung phone plugged in via USB loses the equivalent of about 4-5 notches on the volume...
