According to page 47 in the owners manual, here is the procedure to deactivate seat belt warning for each seat. Problem is, I cannot get it to work on an XL hybrid.

Let us know if you have better luck................................

You will pull your hair out, just leave them all buckled, or buy a few buckles from Amazon to fill them up, they are like $5 each.

I have a unique solution.
Quick story.
Back 4 years ago, I was taking care of my elderly mother. She had a tough time with the seat belts in my car. She had a hard time reaching the buckle so I purchased a seat belt extender. Not only did it work excellent for her, it also stopped the seat belt warnings. I liked it so much I bought them for both my car and F-150. Love 'em.
Problem solved.

I seem to recall reading somewhere that on 22s, you could disable the popup, but you can't on 23s. I am going to take some time to dig in to ForScan and options comparisons between both of mine to see if there might be something, but I doubt it given what I've heard already. If I do find something though, I will post back.

I found out how to DISABLE the seat belt warnings all together. Anyone can do it with ZERO TOOLS for ZERO COST in under ONE MINUTE.

THIS WILL BLOW YOUR MIND HOW EASY IT IS.

Just connect the seat belts in all the unused positions and leave them connected. No more warnings or chimes or messages or acknowledgements Added bonus- the rear seat belts won't blow in the wind with rear windows open and hum and flutter all around.

I'm MUCH happier with this one simple step. DO IT. DO IT NOW!
As Nike would say "Just Do It."
Option #2 also easy and with ZERO TOOLS for ZERO COST in under ONE MINUTE.

Put your seat belt on.

On a XLT Luxury Hybrid is there a way to disable the required “OK” button push for the seatbelts on every startup? I just grow tired of all the initial button pushes.

Thanks

.
In my XLT hybrid I never push the "OK" button. The reminder goes off by its self.

You didn't read the post (in it's entirety) and jumped to conclusions. Please re-read. Thanks. I say that because I said the same thing.

I read and understood the OP's post. My response (#38) is in response to his post. Other threads have complained about the annoying pop-up which I agree is annoying. But you don't have to push OK. It goes away by its self which I let it do.

I was responding to your post, as well as many others, that have ways to mute the chimes.

I have no reason to dispute you, as I haven't tried it, but does having all the seat belts connected eliminate the OP's annoying pop-up?

You made it sound like people (me) were suggesting not wearing seat belts. If you read thoroughly I suggested to buckle all the seatbelts including the empty seats.

All passengers buckled AND all empty seats bucked = no chimes, no pop up screens, and annoyances solved.

If you delete your quote quoting me, I'll delete this and the above, which are not contributing useful information.

That's all.

Ok folks, here’s the updated procedure from my 2024 owners manual.:

Looks like difference in the new procedure is that you start the vehicle.

Ford Maverick How to Disable Seat Belt Reminder Ok Button Push? IMG_1992

Update: I just tried this procedure on my XLT Hybrid. Here are my learnings…

1. The procedure does not work if there’s weight on the seat.

I tried it twice for the drivers seat while sitting in it and got no response. Then ran through it again (for the driver seat) while sitting in the passenger seat and got the seatbelt icon to flash like it says in step 4.

2. Even though I got the seatbelt icon to flash after going through the procedure for driver and passenger… nothing has changed. It still dings and the pop-up still comes up.

…maybe other trim levels will have better luck.

What’s even more annoying is the Hybrid has an additional popup just to let you know the truck’s ready to go. I assume this is some legal ass-covering from Ford because it’s silent when in “running” mode.

I work at an electric motorcycle company and we’ve had many instances during demo rides where someone twisted the throttle without realizing the bike was on. Little green run/ready icons are easy to ignore…

Making someone click through multiple pop ups every time they use the vehicle definitely isn’t the best solution.

Well, that was easy! Pull the Easy Button" out of the useless dash cubby and give it a push!

I used forscan on my 25 Larait hybrid. Just zeroed out the 4 memory locations and no more seatbelt Nannie’s. We always buckle so it was just annoying. All gone now.

oddly after I wrote the changes my Sirius Xm trial appeared to restart. No big deal.

This solution needs to get more play.

You can get decently long ones, which in the truck might be annoying because they don't really slip down hidden anyway.
You can short stubbies, pack of 2.
Current tab is 21.4 mm wide, 25.5 mm depth/length.

So perhaps these - though the reviews say cheap and wouldn't trust for actual buckling needs. But for unused seats fine. In which case just buckle the belt in.
But this shows the idea.
