Didn't the Starship blowup a few minutes after launch? Maybe not a good omen for us? :)
Rapid unplanned disassembly. Likely because the Space Force pulled the trigger once Starship did its 6th flip.

Here is to hoping my Tremor gets scheduled! I’m the only Tremor order at my dealership so I would think I would be safe for a build date this model year. Anyone know how many Mavericks are still unscheduled for 2023?

Made an appointment tomorrow with a Kia dealer to order a PHEV. They say 4-6 months. Whichever comes first, I'll buy. It's been 7 months and counting with Ford.

Good luck to everyone waiting. And waiting. And waiting.

Here's hoping my dealer calls and tells me mine is there.
Was on a slow rail trip from Kansas last week.
Did all my paperwork last weekend for it. 🤞

Kia Niro PHEV:
$35k
49 mpg
33 electric miles on a charge

For me the draws with the Maverick are: hybrid, I can get into and out of it easily (I have a Corolla currently), and the price. The Niro is more expensive, but I get free charges at work so I'll probably save roughly $750-1k a year in gas relative to the Maverick. So over 5 years the Mav probably wins by about $4-5k on price. The Niro has a bigger seating area. I think I'd be content with either, though the Niro seating area being bigger is a definite plus.

I know last week was earlier than normal. assuming it happens like normal, we should start seeing something in the next hour. if not then im guessing nothing this week.

I'm with you on all those things PLUS having that open space that a truck bed provides is key. My friend has a Niro, and I'm intrigued.

One benefit to the Mav was my wife worked for her friend's gardening business and she could've used the Mav instead of dirtying up our Honda Odyssey. But now she's switched over to her other job so that benefit (for us) has lessened. You can put down the second row in the Niro and it has decent room. But you probably get more cargo space with the Mav, from what I can tell. Since we have the minivan the cargo space is less important to me than the seat space, which the Niro has more of. Honestly if they both came in at the same time, I'm not sure which one I'd pick currently.

Just curious-your charges are free at work. Do you by any chance work for a government agency??

No worries, I do not. I work as an engineer for a large company in the private sector. The office complex offers 3 sets of 2 chargers for free charging to tenets. I knew about the chargers, but did not know they were free until a few days ago lol. I work in the Research Triangle area of NC so there's more than an average amount of BEVs and PHEVs.

I've seen a few other free chargers around town, primarily at town parks and Wegmans grocery stores. I even saw one at McDonalds, though I don't know if that one cost money or not.
