Issue: Automatic Dome Lights Not Functioning

It seems the cigarette lighter shuts off its power after the car is off for a while. This is also one reason why a dash cam had to be hardwired if you want parking mode.

Interior dome lights no longer automatically turn on when opening door.
Either exiting or entering the Maverick - automatic dome lights no longer functioning

Dome lights will work when manually pressing them.
Dome lights will work when using the center toggle switch.

When running the car the battery voltage displays 15.1 volts.

Maybe I should reset the 12V battery management system ?

While running it will display the voltage provided by the dcdc convertor which is set by the system. To just read the battery voltage just put vehicle in accessory mode NOT ready mode!

Yes, after about 90 minutes. I was going to use the cigarette lighter to power my brake controller for flat towing. Had to wire one directly to the jumper post under the hood.

I do not think that is necessary, just back into the cigerate lighter I think would work

The cigarette ligher socket would have to be a constant on for the solar charger to work longer than a minute.

Had my ecoboost at the dealer for a wiring harness replacement behind the dash.

Came back with the dome lights not working on door opening.

Just did a BMS reset - dome lights on door opening has come back.

On some CanBus type systems....if you INPUT voltage into them before they cycle "off", they will maintain the connection. Not sure about the Maverick, does work for trickle charging some BMW systems.
Might not help with solar as it would turn off overnight....

Deep sleep only goes on for two reasons. Long periods of not driving, or if the battery is sitting below 50% charge.

Indeed, thus the note about when the battery drops below 50% charge it will go into deep sleep. You have to drive a lot, several hours a day or more to keep deep sleep from happening. Sadly it's the nature of the current programming.

Same here. Driving 30+ miles did not prevent deep sleep issues despite what the dealerships were instructed to tell customers. Bunch of nonsense designed to either stall for time or hope the problem was limited to a few trucks and would go away.
