Keypad not functioning

The number pad on my wife’s 2023 Maverick has worked flawlessly since day one. All of a sudden, it still locks the doors but won’t unlock them.

Any suggestions? I’ve really gotten used to this feature.

The number buttons are confirmed working - or it wouldn't work one way.

The wiring is confirmed working - or it wouldn't work one way.

Seems like a logic problem on the internal chip or the truck.

Do you hear the locks like being engaged when they should be unlocking, like when you hit the remote lock button when already locked?
Or silence?

When I try to unlock using the keypad, there’s no sound at all, no click, no motor noise, nothing. It’s just silence, like the signal isn’t being processed at all. Definitely feels more electronic than mechanical.

Does the keypad illuminate when you push any of the buttons?
Things that don't make sense. You confirmed that pushing the bottom two 8/9 buttons will lock the truck. That means that the keypad is working.

Some things that I've confirmed.
When pushing a button, the keypad should illuminate but there is no sound all.
Is there any hesitation??
You have Less Than 6 sec. To input numbers. Once the light goes out on the keypad or 5 1/2 seconds transpires, you have to start all over again.

Well, doesn't seem a logic problem then, of it thinking the locks are in the wrong state, and just redoing the same request, in this case another lock.

I assumed the wired and wireless keypads merely sent a command to change state of locks, something fobs don't have.

And it was up to truck system to change the state from what it thought it was.

Since a big computer - Forscan Lite has service procedure for rebooting modules.
If you don't have an OBD dongle and Forscan Lite - your closest ability would be disconnect negative battery terminal and wait 5 min.
