Could, but I wouldn't for a jump connection because of length of wire, gauge size and I'd want the positive wire fused close to the jumper post just in case of a short to chassis somehow.

Any of the bolts that go into the frame or body in the engine compartment should work. There's 3 existing ground bolts near the jump posts. I didn't go under the jump negative stud as a few people had trouble with it threading back in tight. I used the horn mount bolt for my charger negative lug.

The studs at the 12V battery looked very strong to me. The 200A fuse cable goes to the High Current Junction box near to the jump post. The middle stud is the 12V connection for the BMS Sensor. I had a 1/0 lug on the larger spare stud for a 2000W inverter connection before.

My Escape doors are heavier feeling than the Maverick's doors. The doors at the check arm looked similar. On Escape doors if Ford doesn't replace the door on CSP 23B56, they install a $8 reinforcement kit that is pop rivets and a small plate.
