The car is always connected to the internet. That uses power. The keyfob sensor is always running. That uses power.

This is not the frightening thing you think it is. Especially if you park in an area with bad cell service.

Yeah, I've read some of the other threads on the issue. It was more of a "got me now" post. No issue this morning when I left for work (yesterday's round trip was 60 miles). Thanks!

As has been written about many times previously, pull the 5a fuse in position 11 of the fuse box found under the glove compartment. That is the Telematics fuse that Ford uses to constantly spy on you, all while draining your battery. Have not had a problem ever since I pulled it weeks ago - all lights come on fine inside and out, etc.

Pretty sure you lose all those abilities. Including remote start with the app, notifications from the perimeter plus alarm, and ability to locate the truck with GPS.
Correct me if I'm wrong.

The best solution, at least for EB owners, is to replace the battery with an AGM battery made by a third party. No more deep sleep issues for me.

I don't need and/or want those features, JP, so I wouldn't know. If I need any of those features it would be temporary and I will put the fuse back in for that purpose, removing it afterwards.

I have a 2023 xl hybrid with CP 360 and I have had no battery issues or warnings in the 16 months I have owned it. Use Fordpass, Android Auto, and remote start. I use it like Ford built it no forscan no changed mirrors. I did put in 12v outlet in the bed that I use a plugin 400 amp inverter to keep my mobility scooter charged.

Fordpass the app works - but it has nothing to get info from, except Ford for say recalls or alerts or such.
Nothing truck related since truck can't report anything to Ford with no modem.

Of course is GPS and mapping going on with your phone anyway while you drive.

I havent had a dome light in a month now.

I got 65 deep sleep mode notices on my 2023 xl....much of what Ford tells us isn't accurate...Wednesday I drove 35 miles of Highway and 35 miles rural... got home, checked battery voltage, 12.6 volts....6 hrs later 11.9 volts....20 hours later 11.10 volts.... have to put 2 amp tender on the battery if I have to use it....I am on the 3 rd battery.... Ford has to acknowledge the problem and fix it....good luck...

did it cost you anything to warranty the battery? I'm at about a year with the same thing happening. I can charge it up to 12.8v or so but by the next day its down to 11.6 or so again.

I already bought my own battery, just wondering if its possible to get one out of ford too.

I did get a new max battery from Ford last December 2023... I got the vehicle in January 2023.....it seemed to work for about 6 months but recently the problem has returned...good luck....

Get a battery tender and connect it to the jump points under the hood, when not driving for that long. Always reset the BMS after removing it from the battery tender. A forum search will show you how to reset BMS.

I do this and I'm still on the original battery, with no deep sleep, dome light issues, etc. Or, keep having the issue and it won't be long until you need a new battery, because yours has gotten low too many times. Lead-acid batteries last longer if kept charged.

This is my same story. New Max Battery went into Deep Sleep after about 6 months.
