Issue: Automatic Dome Lights Not Functioning

Interior dome lights no longer automatically turn on when opening door.
Either exiting or entering the Maverick - automatic dome lights no longer functioning

Dome lights will work when manually pressing them.
Dome lights will work when using the center toggle switch.

When running the car the battery voltage displays 15.1 volts.

Maybe I should reset the 12V battery management system ?

Any advice is appreciated. Thank You

Sounds like typically deep sleep problem sadly. Mine does that sometimes as well. I sure hope Ford does a recall on these 12v batteries, this is a joke.

You are correct - I just looked at my Ford Pass App - and I have multiple Deep Sleep messages.

Maybe its because I have been using the heated seats and heated steering wheel 100% of the time when driving ?

Could be, hard to tell. Sometimes using them seems to make a difference other times it doesn't. I think it hits the 12v harder when you haven't been driving as much. I usually start at 2 and go down to 1 bar, on the seats, they get hot. Steering wheel is the same, once it's toasty I turn it off for a while till it starts to cool. Seems to help.

It started show up for me before I even used those features though, so I don't think that is the core problem.

Thankfully the hybrid only uses the 12v system for the computers, lights, radio. The hybrid battery pack powers the electric motors that turn over the ICE.

I turned off Fordpass, wireless etc months ago. Still seems to be a problem.

12V Battery voltage is 12.28 when the Maverick is off
12V Battery Voltage is 15.2 when the Maverick is running.

Does not look like battery is low or drained - i dunno.

Deep sleep only goes on for two reasons. Long periods of not driving, or if the battery is sitting below 50% charge.

12v battery, not the big lithium ion pack. The 12v is charged by the big inverter under the hood, that's why the jump points are under the hood.

OK - maybe I have a funky battery? Even though it displays a good charge of 12.28V with a voltmeter.
