Finally got a camper, plug the trailer in only to realize the trailer brake controller will not store the gain settings. The brake controller will apply the brakes manually but will not activate when the brake pedal is pressed.

Went into ford, got software updates done, vehicle was all up to date. Trailer brake controller would not display gain setting but was finally working with the brake pedal. Gain was operational, however never displayed on the IPC, only know because I was at the trailer with a volt meter.

After the updates were done auto stat stop stopped functioning, ford pass stopped functioning. Battery ended up dying yesterday..( coincidence) maybe. Took it in to a different dealer, plugged up and said I have no topographic connectivity. Fixed the module network so they are all communicating, but now I get home and I’m at square one but worse.
Now ford pass doesn’t work, auto start stop doesn’t work, and the trailer brake controller is back to not functioning with the brake pedal.

any ideas where to start with this problem?
Hotline has been opened at multiple dealerships and they are now recommending to replace very expensive modules, when at different points everything has worked. I believe it’s software related. A quick google search shows that multiple people have have this problem and it’s been fixed. I’m at the point of trading this truck in but I love the dang thing! I’m going to plug into forscan and see if the gain settting is disabled in the ipc but I’m at a loss.
