So basically I have to replace the windshield to get rid of this rattle in the dash? That seems a bit extreme.

Replace it with the acoustic unit - Win/Win although it's not an easy fix -So basically I have to replace the windshield to get rid of this rattle in the dash? That seems a bit extreme.
That’s something that Ford will cover? Or do I have to go pay for it out of pocket?Replace it with the acoustic unit - Win/Win although it's not an easy fix -
If they cover window replacement to fix a rattle - I don't think it's a big price increase for the acoustic unit. That’s something that Ford will cover? Or do I have to go pay for it out of pocket?
I’ll pay the difference, the rattle squeaky noise is very distracting. I feel like there has to be a better way to fix it though. If they cover window replacement to fix a rattle - I don't think it's a big price increase for the acoustic unit.
There is. Using your warranty that you paid for.I’ll pay the difference, the rattle squeaky noise is very distracting. I feel like there has to be a better way to fix it though.
Booked a service appointment, 3 weeks out was the soonest in my area. There is. Using your warranty that you paid for.
FYI, had several rattles in the front and the back when I first got my Maverick. After several weeks, no more rattles. Everything seems to have settled down. I did have one rattle recently, but found it was a USB cable I had in the FITS cup holder in the back! My brother had a rattle that was driving him nuts and he found out it was these eyeglass holder clip on his sun visor. My advice would be make sure you remove everything that might cause a rattle from say your glove compartment, under seat storage, behind the back seat, etc.Booked a service appointment, 3 weeks out was the soonest in my area.
Hi Joe! I can look into your Maverick's dash rattle concern on my end. To get started, could you please send a private message over with the name/location of your local Ford dealer and your Maverick's VIN?So basically I have to replace the windshield to get rid of this rattle in the dash? Really don't know. They seem willing to find the issue and if it means they have to change the windshield I guess they'll do it but they did not say what is their next step. I have an appointment on the 30th and they said they'll provide a car while they have my maverick for as long as needed. Are they considering window replacement???
Yes, it's possible to pull and reseal in general. I would not trust the dealer to do it though. They'll probably have it done by Safelite.Really don't know. Anybody know if it's possible to remove a windshield without breaking it?
