  1. Anyone tried to Use Roof Bike Rack in Bed?

it's not too bad, I honnestly haven't thought of insurance. I do have insurance towards the bikes as some are above 3k$ (where my normal home insurance stop covering) Before getting the Maverick, I used to sometime ride with twice the value of my car in bikes on a 200$ rack on the hitch, and...
  2. 1up bike rack installed

Yeah the wobble is very annoying. If I had to do it all over, i would also look into other alternatives. Those Kuat do look sweet. We own a Kuat ski roof rack and it’s very well made. I did build a diy rack with Rockymounts fork mounts and 1up van racks and it doesn't have any wobble obviously...
  3. My way of carrying bike

Yeah, no setup is perfect in every situation. it's easy to forget about the bikes and wreck them against the garage door opening! I don't own a garage so it's not an issue for me. With two kids, I really need that cargo space. Your setup definately keeps the bike cleaner and offer lower drag on...
  4. My way of carrying bike

I find these extrusions to be the best and cleanest way to create custom mounts for these trucks. I did a similar thing using 1Up van mounts and extrusions but wanted to keep a low profile so used axle mounts. I now have 4 bike carrying capability while keeping my bed for luggage, protected from...
  5. Rattle in the dash (a minor yet major annoyance)

In my case the ticking was not dependent on temperature at all.
  6. Ford Maverick windshield and dash rattle

For those who have the ticking/clicking rattle like I had, there is hope. Here's a follow up: https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/threads/rattle-in-the-dash-a-minor-yet-major-annoyance.5422/post-507521
  7. Rattle in the dash (a minor yet major annoyance)

To follow up to my original post, https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/threads/rattle-in-the-dash-a-minor-yet-major-annoyance.5422/post-487500 Dropped my Maverick to the dealer on monday, got it back on wednesday afternoon. For the second time they removed every trim possible that could be...
  8. Rattle in the dash (a minor yet major annoyance)

Being in Canada I don't think Safelite is used over here but they did say that they use a glass specialist for windshield install. So technically it's not the dealer that does windshield jobs. I already don't like the fact they removed the dash and A-pillar trims to find the problem. The risk of...
  9. Rattle in the dash (a minor yet major annoyance)

Really don't know. They seem willing to find the issue and if it means they have to change the windshield I guess they'll do it but they did not say what is their next step. I have an appointment on the 30th and they said they'll provide a car while they have my maverick for as long as needed...
  10. Rattle in the dash (a minor yet major annoyance)

I also have the dash rattle issue. My truck has 12'000 km but the problem started this summer around maybe 7 or 8k km. i've been to the dealership two times for this exact issue. they hear the sound, but only tried to add foam strips under the dash and speaker grills wich made no difference at...
  11. Anyone tried to Use Roof Bike Rack in Bed?

Already posted in another thread but here is my setup for those who missed it the first time. Here: https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/threads/1up-bike-rack-installed.5566/post-369435 And here...
  12. Bike Racks... Tailgate Pad or Hitch Rack for frequent use.

a simple update on my setup involving my 1Up racks. I added a DIY rack built from t-rail extrusions and two half 1Up racks (they call them van racks) and two Rockymounts axle mounts (model is DropTop). Those two additional racks are to have a lower profile option than the complete 1Ups so the...
  13. Bike Racks... Tailgate Pad or Hitch Rack for frequent use.

I started with Truxedo Elevate TS rails coupled with the Truxedo Pro X15 soft cover. Using these rails, I mounted a set of Rhino-Rack RLT600 quick mount legs combined with 59'' Rhino-Rack Vortex crossbars. Crossbars and racks are pretty easy to remove as a single unit if I want to use the bed...

  15. 1up bike rack installed

btw, note that i get an annoying front wheel wobble on the narrower tired bikes such as my gravel 45c... putting the bike backward does help and I also put a bungee to help secure that front wheel. pretty sure it's an aerodynamic thing but kinda disappointed that such an expensive setup is not...
  16. 1up bike rack installed

I started with Truxedo Elevate TS rails coupled with Truxedo Pro X15 cover. Used the rails to mount a Rhino Rack RLT600 leg kit with 59 inches long Vortex crossbars. you can't roll the cover the normal way under the crossbars but it can be slid underneath, undoing the velcro as you go and...
  17. 1up bike rack installed

Not the usual 1Up setup but here it is. I wanted to keep easy access to the bed. I keep all my luggage protected from the elements under the bed cover. I'm working on a 4 bikes setup with two additionnal fork mount racks for a lower profile option. Main reason why I went away from a hitch rack...
