Hey OP, any updates on your situation? Now that the weather is getting cold, I'm constantly getting deep sleep mode alerts. And the battery has measured between 11.9 and 12.2 volts the couple times I've tested with a multimeter. The truck isn't just sitting - I drive around 30 miles every day.

Pretty frustrating. I guess I'll take in for warranty service eventually, but was curious how your situation has played out

Hi there! If you are able to send us a private message with your VIN and dealership information, I'd be happy to look into things on my end.

I found this under my back seat. I'm thinking I need a new one because I keep getting messages on my phone saying remove services stopped (or something to that effect). I can't seem to find one at Autozone. Ford dealer is a couple of months out on service appointments. Any idea where I can get one of these and it is a straightforward swap out?

When was your Maverick built? If it was built before mid-May the problem might be a wiring harness not the battery.

6000 miles? You really don't want to do that.

The operation of a 12v battery in a hybrid like the MAV is very different that a 12v in a regular car.
Your problem is more likely related to the down converter that charges the 12v battery from the HV battery. Since it is still under warranty I would give it to Ford for their diagnosis.

If you fiddle around with it, the dealer may blame the problem on your fiddling.

Best to have your wife take it in, and play dumb, or better yet, have it towed in becuase you couldn't unlock the door with the remote.

You get a really good warranty with the car, use it.

Not necessarily. My Maverick charges fine at 15V at the battery, but the resting voltage is fairly low dropping down to near a flat 12V. Hybrid Escapes also run into low 12V 'Remote Disabled/Deep Sleep' and they don't have the cable issue. Many of them switch to a larger battery, but they have more room to work with.
Same with my Hybrid.

So did you replace the battery? If so, has it resolved your concern? Thanks for the info,
I replaced the battery last night (in the link I provided)... Time will tell whether it was the fix. My truck generally goes into deep sleep (and no interior lights) after a ~week or so.

I had zero deep sleep issues for the first ~5 months or so of ownership,

My EcoBoost went into deep sleep three days ago (no interior lights) and will not “wake up” completely. It starts and runs fine but I keep getting notifications from my phone Ford app that remote features have been disabled-my Mav is staying in deep sleep mode. I have had no issues in six months of ownership. My dealer’s service department is always at least a two week wait for an appointment. I really miss the courtesy lights when entering the truck at night.

Put a battery charger on it and the issue will go away (temporally).

good luck...

Remember when looking at the different batteries that in the hybrid the battery with the largest reserve capacity is the best choice and the cold cranking amps (since the 12v does not start the ice) is not as important. It is important to get the max amount of amps out of battery before voltage drops.

My hybrid is doing the same thing. It starts and runs fine, but it goes into deep sleep within a few minutes of turning the truck off. I also miss having the remote features and interior light when opening the door. My dealership doesn't know how to fix it which makes it even more frustrating. I love the truck but I waited such a long time to get it for this to happen.

Did you charge the 12v battery over night?
