Rattle in the dash (a minor yet major annoyance)

Hello there! This doesn't sound like the kind of experience we want you to have with your Maverick trucks. If you could send us a private message containing all three VIN numbers and your preferred dealership name/location, I'd be happy to look into things for you.

You sir have a nasty rattle!! Ok… so you have a couple things going on based on my experience here and with mine.
1.) Dash is to be replaced via warranty
2.)heat shield rattle TSB go to NHTSA.GOV and look for your truck and it’s under communications. It is a heat shield/transmission touching…?
3) transmission/engine mount lower needs an adjustment/tightening or replacement.

I had a clicking it was my windshield! Thank god that’s fixed. Now, my transmission bogs down and the whole drivetrain vibrates every time you accelerate after decelerating no matter the speed… it was leaking, they “fixed” that now it’s worse!! Ugh. Best of luck but they need to fix your truck that is not good! You have the loudest I have heard since inception!

Replaced! Sorry… I not only had to have it replaced due to rocks! But safelite put in new windshield that is the acoustic lariat glass. Wow what a difference!!!! I have xlt/w Lux pack and so that is why they installed the lariat glass. No issues since! It’s so quiet!!

I am almost considering having safelite remove and reinstall without even taking it to the dealership, it's annoying the crap out of me, wonder if that would fix it.

I have been in touch via private message with the Ford representative who monitors this site and after providing the relevant vehicle info, they have provided me with a case number and forwarded the issue on to a Ford Customer Experience Specialist on the 'escalated Truck support team'. I will post back when/ if I hear from them.

I'm glad you got traction, but that's gotten me nowhere. All the specialist did was connect me with a dealer to make an appointment. There is zero ownership.

Hey BGN- the windshield was 100% done by safelite due to rock damage. I was scheduled for it to be reviewed by ford service, but before going, had a huge rock hit the windshield, had to have it fixed as Ford would say it’s damaged and not our problem!!! Otherwise I would post it if it were the dealer. Once the windshield was replaced with the acoustic glass not only did the noise go away, but the acoustic glass made the truck amazingly quiet! Now, after that I took truck to dealer, they haven’t given me Paperwork yet as two items on order, and awaiting to hear back from ford for the 12v issue they are too dumb to fix!! Once I get that paperwork back from the shit they did I will post! But it’s a lot of issues!! Half shaft leaking, they tightened it, not happy should replace noticing vibration, Ford emblem (camera bezel) and roof weatherstripping are on order, leaking transmission “supposedly some filling valve was loose??” Now the drivetrain vibrates like hell!! 12v issue etc…

Heh, I have a vibration too. Dealer has been ignoring me since Monday after they told me they couldn't repro any of my issues over two days.

Does your vibration happen anytime any speed when day you are going 50mph and you let off the gas for a millisecond and you don’t even drop below 50mph and you accelerate and for the first little bit it is almost like a bogging down noise/behavior, it vibrates, or gnarls lol at ya, it used to just be 27-29mph only.. now it’s all speeds!! And it is bad when you are having to slowdown to stop and are going a decent speed, it’s like the tranny didn’t get the message in time, then kicks/slams and feels like it’s pushing you forward, rpms’ rev! Ugh!!!!!

It's only around 27-30 mph. My guess? The engine mounts are not on tight enough. That's why it feels sluggish and like it bangs up/down the gears.

Agreed!! Also, I will try to post my one engine mount! They said back when I bought it, it’s fine, just monitor. But my one mount looks bad !! Just a few pics of issues… however it’s hard to see in the mount picture. But it’s got all kind of gunk all over the rubber and metal area(s) who knows.

After 5 months since delivery and loving my Mav, the honeymoon is over. In the past month, I

causes Desent control to engage on its own when disabled at switch. When this happens, transmission shifts to a low gear and pedal is almost unresponsive (limp mode). Called dealer, was told that unless I can reproduce these problems at will - there is nothing they can help with.

Looks like someone at Ford has chimed in on this thread. I will watch to see if anything is done about these quality issues before deciding to part ways with it
