At about the 250 mile mark my Maverick developed a rattle in the dash plastic. It starts at above 35mph and is constant. I can't for the life of me pin point the exact area in the dash its coming from. Pushing on different areas of the dash does nothing to stop it. Anyone else have this problem? Is this something the warranty would cover? I pretty much just have to keep the radio volume turned up all the time so I can't hear it.
I just got my 2022 Maverick XLT a few days ago, has 180 miles on it. Now I have rattling sounds in the front passenger side, and also the rear. I made sure the windows and doors were should tight, nothing. From some of the other threads I've read it appears the problem may be with the front and rear windshield. It is nerve rattling, pun intended!

How did you make out with the back rattle fix. I'm curious to what the loudspace is
So, as of now, with the new windshield… the only noise complaint is the transmission/drivetrain. It’s going to dealership tomorrow…I found something leaking decently on and around the transmission housing/case? It was two locations of some liquid and gunk that wasn’t there at last oil change! The clunking, vibration, shudder, and rpm flaring is annoying and I believe that is the biggest issue. But my there is a TSB regarding grind/rattle from heat shield and drive shaft….

Hey there! I can look into your Maverick’s rattling concerns on my end if you’d like. Will you send us a private message with your VIN and dealership info?

Agreed! Best of luck!!! Stay tuned… I’m waiting for my dealer to call me this week as they ordered a new rear Ford emblem that covers the backup camera (defective) then they would have the time to “figure” it out… they didn’t even know there was a software update for the radio!!! I had to print out the communication and update versions!…ugh
I also have a rattle in my dash. I located it and found it to be the hood over the instruments (speedo & gauges). There are two bolts to remove and carefully work the hood off. I put thick (3M) two-sided tape all along the edge where the two parts meet. (you might need to double up on the tape) You could also try weather strip that is for windows and doors. The foam cushion might work better to shut that noise up for good. I went for a long drive and drove down every road that caused the rattle before. All was good, so I will keep an eye on this for a few weeks. I hope this helps someone with this annoying noise. BTW the two 7mm bolts are located under the steering column boot. Good luck!

I have about 1300 miles on my XL AWD and the dashboard rattle started this past weekend. Sound seems to be coming from the passenger side. Is there an established fix for this? Should I bring it to the dealership?

Some more info - it sounds like the dash plastic is making the noise, it's a snapping sound. Seems like it could be coming from where the windshield meets but I'm not sure. Happens at any speed when I go over bumps. I'm going to have someone else drive so I can try to pinpoint where it's coming from.

I currently own three 2022 Ford Mavericks that I use for my business. They include two XLT packages and one Lariat package. Odometers range from 1000 miles to 8000 miles.

All three trucks have a rattle located in the driver side dash, with the rattle occurring 12 inches forward of the steering wheel column, where the forward edge of the curved driver side wheel column dash cutout meets the main dash.

This rattle has been present since the first time each truck was driven off the dealer lot. The rattle requires two criteria to be produced:

1) The dash must have warmed up from the sun (rattle does not occur if the dash is cold, i.e. early in the morning)
2) The rattle is produced by driving on any type of irregular paved road surface.
3) Typically, the truck must be travelling over 20 mph to produce the rattle

The only way that the rattle can be stopped is by pressing down with approx. > 5lbs of downward pressure at the point where the rattle occurs. When you press down on this spot, the rattle is eliminated, unless the truck is going over really rough surfaces. We suspect that the issue is a wiring harness or other type of poorly secured object that is located just under the dash, which vibrates against the underside of the dash when the truck is subjected to irregular driving surfaces. The rationale on why this is the case is because we can eliminate the rattle when we press down on the dash at the point where it rattles.

I would really like to have someone from Ford follow up with me regarding how we (and everyone else on this thread) might be able to fix this annoying issue.

Hello there! This doesn't sound like the kind of experience we want you to have with your Maverick trucks. If you could send us a private message containing all three VIN numbers and your preferred dealership name/location, I'd be happy to look into things for you.
