Stopped in and chatted with my dealer this morning. Made the adjustments I wanted (dropped adaptive cruise, bed rail tie-down, remote start, and spray in bed liner, added black appearance package), then changed it out of priority 99 to a retail order.

Took all of about 15 minutes and I have a new printout of my order.

Now the wait begins again.

That really sucks. I'd ask one of the big dealers to let me know when they have an orphan.
I bought a 2019 Colorado a couple of weeks ago with 18,000 miles on it. It's larger than what I wanted and rear-wheel drive. The same dealer had a Maverick, but they were asking $14,000 more for it than the Colorado. Another local lot has a Maverick that has been totaled out and rebuilt. They're asking the same amount I paid for my Colorado...for a WRECK that would have to have a salvage title.

I just got tired of the lies from Ford. When I found out I couldn't get the Maverick I'd ordered, I contacted three other local dealers. One of them called me on Saturday morning at 8:00 AM and told me they had one in stock I could test drive at 9:30 AM. When I got there, they didn't have one on the lot and said no, they had not sold one that morning either. They had just lied to get me to come in. The other two lots supposedly had a total of seven in stock, but when they returned my call, all of the units on their websites were already sold.

I'd prefer the Maverick if I could get one, but I draw the line at begging them to sell me one and/or paying ridiculous rates over MSRP when I've already waited on one for 10 months that I was supposedly going to be able to buy for MSRP.

I would like to ask a question I should know the answer to: What is COVP?
thanks,
Donald
Customer Order Verification Program. It lets Ford know it was ordered by an actual customer and not a dealer playing games to get stock inventory.

What does PC99 mean? I’m so confused by what the different codes mean. I’m a PC10. Is that good?
Priority Code 99 means the build is on hold until reviewed and changed to a lower code.

Dealers can assign priority codes 10-19, the lower the number being higher priority.

Not sure if I missed it in this post, is this for all hybrid orders or only orders converted from 22 to 23?

So this was posted by Tommy Brogan. It is good Intel. He probably noticed something I missed. You can believe it.
Have you heard anything back about the COVP process for the canceled orders that were converted to ‘23?

Last night Ford customer service gave me my private offer code and told me to share that code with my dealership. I’m assuming that means my canceled ‘22 order was COVP, but not 100% sure. Should I be reaching out to my dealer and asking them to do COVP now that I’ve been converted to ‘23?

I cannot get Ford marketing OR customer service OR my dealer to give me ANY information about a private offer. My cancelled 2022 with VIN was converted successfully over to a 23 but if Ford/dealer is going to screw me now after nearly 14 months, I am not getting a Mav.

This is about 22MY cancelled Hybrid orders that had VINs assigned and now rolled by Ford into new 23MY orders, initially with Priority 99 assigned.

I have almost 140,000 on my 2012 Colorado. It has been a great truck, but I commute 60 miles a day and the mpg of about 20 is killing me with gas prices now.

It is almost as if Ford is intentionally making the process insane for the dealers and customers. Stop complicating everything !!!

Exactly. They broke out Bed Rails from the Lux pack, added it with a different name in 23MY, but they couldn't be bothered to bring over my email, leaving the dealer to re-enter it (or not).

Thanks, ultimately though, its just order updates right?
It's more like Ford has prefilled an order as close as possible to your 2022 order for a "2023" order which you then need to furnish your current id which should match the address you fill out on the "priority 99" order along with your email. This will insure that YOU still want the order and that you reside where Ford can verify your address. As well as any changes you desire to make to your order. Also they have your possibly new email address or the same address. Looks straight forward to me!
