  1. My 93 Octane Experiment! 2.0L EcoBoost Maverick

The Wawa has 93 octane for $3.74 but it's 10% ethanol.
  2. My 93 Octane Experiment! 2.0L EcoBoost Maverick

I've found many Wawa locations that are in or near rural counties also offer non-ethanol 89 octane gas, which I normally run. There is an oil company near me that also offers non-ethanol 87 & 93 octane fuel, although the 93 is over $5.00 per gallon.
  3. 2 things I don’t understand

I am having mine (EcoBoost) changed next Saturday. It's right at 5k since the last oil change and the intelligent oil change reminder popped up today. I went to see how to reset it so I will know going forward, but under Settings, Vehicle, there is no reset oil life option as started in the...
  4. Told you.. Mavericks like each other's company!

Prior to the Maverick, my last new vehicle purchase was a 1990 Ranger. That thing was still running at 248,000 when I traded for a 2009 Focus.
  5. Merry Christmas

Wishing my fellow MTC members a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
  6. MPGs FAR below advertised and hype. Are you all telling the truth?

You missed your calling as a car salesman!
  7. MPGs FAR below advertised and hype. Are you all telling the truth?

My Mav is an EcoBoost, and I average 31-32mpg combined driving using ethanol-free gas.
  8. Pronunciation of Maverick

    I pronounce it Mave-Rick.
  9. Latest 2024 Maverick Production Key Commodity Constraints + Total Retail Unscheduled Orders (12/4/23)

Bob, why do you think that you can readily get the splash guards from the dealer, but they can't seem to ship enough to the assembly plant? I used some of my Ford Pass points for them, and the dealer was able to obtain them in no time.
  10. What did you buy with your Ford Pass points?

I used my points on the splash guards aka mud flaps. I still have 9,156 points accrued from service on my other vehicle plus the first Maverick oil change.
  11. What did you buy with your Ford Pass points?

Is that the Ford cover that is apparently no longer available? I read on one of threads someone found a Lincoln (I think) branded cover that may still be available.
  12. Johnny's 2022 Maverick Lariat Build

You are one talented guy. You should send a pic of your subwoofer setup to Crutchfield.
  13. Senior citizen Maverick owners thread

I'll be 68 in January. Took delivery of my '23 Lariat EcoBoost AWD in Alto Blue on March 7th, and it now has about 9,500 miles. It's a great little truck, nice ride and I'm enjoying the B&O sound system. The only things I've done to this point has been adding the spray-in bedliner, window...
  14. New Maverick Models / Variants Are Coming Says Ford

A Coyote V8 would be nice.
  15. 20" (Chrome spoked) wheels and tires upgrade

The steelies look good with tire shine too.
  16. Annoying rattle coming from passenger side

My Mav has a little vibration sound from the passenger side center pillar when I play music that has more bass than normal. I haven't pulled off the cover yet as it is not that big of an annoyance.
  17. 87 Octane?

I was referring to ethanol-free gas vs 10-15% ethanol being better for an engine. Alcohol tends to dry out rubber fuel lines over time. There is also the possibility of water contamination and fuel separation.
  18. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel! Shipped!

I kept my 2017 Focus and added the Mav, not as bad as I was expecting. My policy renews every six months, the first six was $201.xx per month, and when renewed a week ago it had jumped to $261.xx. That is for both vehicles, full coverage on the Mav of course and dropped full coverage on the Focus.
