  1. Are you happy with your Maverick? Would you buy it again?

I'm very satisfied with my '23 Lariat EcoBoost AWD and would not hesitate to buy another Maverick, although the ski jump on the headlamps still hasn't grown on me. When I ordered this, I opted for every option except for the 4k tow package. I have yet to tow anything nor have any plans to tow...
  2. LED trailer light help.

A mobile technician from the Ford dealership where I bought my Mav came out this morning and completed the 26C10 recall. I was told they submit them to Ford for payment, and it takes 24-48 hours before it will show up as done.
  3. Tailgate Lettering

I bought the chrome letters in '23 off Amazon, and the Alto Blue paint really sets them off. I imagine people who are not familiar with Mavericks likely believe that's how it came from the factory.
  4. Who still LOVES thier Maverick after 10k miles?

Picked my '23 Lariat up March 7th, 2023, and she just clicked 40,000. Still enjoying it as much as the day I left the dealer.
  5. First Sight! $30k Midsize EV Pickup Prototype

Part of my disdain for EVs is the way some of us who prefer internal combustion engines, especially the high-performance variety, feel they are being forced upon us. For those who truly want an EV, by all means go for it.
  6. Paid Off My Maverick

A '69 red or black Boss 429 is my dream car, and unless I win the lottery it remains just a dream especially after seeing the prices they command on Mecum. I wouldn't mind a '69 Mach I 428 CJ with a shaker scoop either!
  7. Paid Off My Maverick

9,200 miles, still essentially brand new! I bet you would have no problem selling it back the dealer if you so chose. I have a 90-mile round trip commute to work, that's one of the reasons I didn't trade in my 2017 Focus, and besides it had about 190,000 miles when my Maverick arrived at the...
  8. Paid Off My Maverick

I will definitely miss the $$ from averaging 52 hours per week since COVID.
  9. Paid Off My Maverick

Excellent advice. That's one reason I didn't want to fully retire even @ 70.
  10. Paid Off My Maverick

    More like OLD! :)
  11. Paid Off My Maverick

I achieved a milestone of sorts financially, making the last payment on my '23 Lariat a few weeks ago. I made a substantial down payment, financed the balance for 48 months and was able to pay it off in 39. Just in time for partial retirement starting in July! I am just as pleased with my Mav as...
  12. First Sight! $30k Midsize EV Pickup Prototype

Amen. I will never buy one, same with a hybrid. We have nothing but trouble at work with hybrids and EVs.
  13. They Are Everywhere

Even though I see 2 or 3 a day, I still wave at fellow Mavericks!
  14. 🥊 Rampage vs. Maverick -- expected price, size dimensions, powertrain, features comparison

I am still more than happy with my '23 EcoBoost Lariat!
  15. Is The Maverick A Good Buy? Getting Cold Feet

    Mine currently has 37,550.
  16. Is The Maverick A Good Buy? Getting Cold Feet

I can only relay my experience. I ordered a '23 Lariat in Sept 2022 and picked it up from the dealer March 2023. It has the 2.0 EcoBoost, AWD, Luxury package, and opted for the full-size spare. The only option available at that time I did not get was the 4K towing package. I wish now I had gone...
  17. What did your maverick replace?

My '23 Lariat EcoBoost hasn't actually replaced anything yet. I have a '17 Focus now with 232,000 miles that I kept as my back-and-forth to work vehicle. I didn't want to keep driving it until it forced to buy something. Typically, I only drive my Maverick on the weekends or days off from work...
  18. 2026 Maverick is Edmunds' Top Rated Truck

Slightly off topic Bob, what is your opinion of the ski jump on the headlamps?
  19. Rival Santa Cruz to be cancelled

I didn't consider the Santa Cruz a compact truck, it's larger than a Maverick and closer to a Honda Ridgeline and Tacoma in size.
  20. Anybody run the maverick on strictly premium fuel?

I topped off yesterday with non-ethanol 93 octane. The price has dropped to $4.09/gallon.
