Yup. Truck was driving very poorly. Check engine light on. Horrible MPG, reporting misfires. Brought to dealer and and hour later it was running like new again.
Dealer determined the 23E09 PCM reprogram was the fix. Was at the dealership for about an hour and was done. It had been getting misfiring codes and ran poorly on the way over with poor mpg. On the way home it ran great and got 45mpg, more in line with what I had been getting.
Yeah. Prices are still over 3 here.
I totally get your sentiment about the fillup and certainly could be contributing but I did notice previous tank was lower mpg than is typical, so wasn’t thinking it was that.
Absolutely is my plan. Just wasn’t sure if others had seen this could help me help point them in the right direction. No idea about a loaner from then and I need a vehicle, so time is limited.
Definitely wasn’t labeled as E85. Tbh I’ve never actually see that at a station as I don’t think that’s a thing up here in Massachusetts.
I DID fill up yesterday though…
Ok. I typically run it pretty conservatively as I’ve decided I don’t want to pay more on gas than I have to with a 90 mile round trip commute, but I can certainly open it up.
No of course. More what I was saying was, it wasn’t something self induced. I’ll check under the hood for lose/broken as I’m a tradesman so am semi-competent but not a car mechanic and certainly not trying to troubleshoot/repair
