  1. Deep Sleep Poll Hybrid Owners

My OEM battery was replaced with another motorcraft battery under warranty, but that did nothing to fix my deep sleep. It went through months of additional diagnostics with no solution. I replaced my battery with an aftermarket AGM battery 2 years ago and haven’t had a single issue since.
  2. Hybrid +12V Battery Replacement

I did have to remove the plastic panels to install the battery. I did not cut out any tabs. There was a metal tab on the floor where the battery sits that I had to bend slightly to fit the battery. I believe it could be bent back to its original place to reinstall the OEM size battery, if needed.
  3. Hybrid +12V Battery Replacement

It was cheapest to get it directly from the Weize website when I bought it ($105 shipped), so I bought it there. Here’s the exact one I purchased...
  4. Hybrid +12V Battery Replacement

I didn’t have to make any cuts. I just had to wrestle with it for a good amount of time before I got all the wires crammed inside in such a way that the plastics would all go back together.
  5. Hybrid +12V Battery Replacement

I ended up installing a Weize H5 AGM battery. It barely fit in the under seat compartment, but I was able to make it work. I also used forscan to set my battery size to H5, my target SOC to 100%, and my battery type to AGM (although it was already set to AGM from the factory). I have not had a...
  6. CEL after 1289 miles - The Engine Control System has detected that the engine took too long to warm up

Did you also have this same issue and get it fixed by just replacing the thermostat? Or were you just referring to the OPs comment about it being diagnosed as the thermostat? I’m asking because I found another thread where the thermostat and temp sensor needed to be replaced to fix this issue.
  7. CEL after 1289 miles - The Engine Control System has detected that the engine took too long to warm up

What did you end up doing to fix this issue? I’m having the same issue in my hybrid.
  8. Check Engine Light - P0128 Code

It was right around 32 F during that drive. It was actually much colder during the past few weeks, with many days around 0 F. The light was on the whole drive home but I did not receive any notifications via fordpass (I’m surprised, because I have had multiple issues with this truck but normally...
  9. Check Engine Light - P0128 Code

My check engine light came on during my drive home today. I scanned for codes and found P0128. Has anybody else had this code? I couldn’t find any record of it on the forums.
  10. Charging Hybrid During Forscan Programming

I’ve read that you need to ALWAYS have your car hooked up to an external charger while using FORSCAN. This makes sense on Ecoboost models since the engine isn’t running during programming. However, hybrid mavericks charge the 12V battery from the HVB even when the vehicle is not running (since...
  11. Who HASN'T experienced the dash rattle/rubbing?

I have a 2023 XLT Lux hybrid that was built in early 2023. I have multiple bad dash rattles. I typically drive cheap cars so I didn’t expect to be bothered by the dash rattles, but the maverick’s rattles are probably the worst of anything I’ve ever owned. I have a little over 12k miles. So far...
  12. Deep Sleep Poll Hybrid Owners

If your maverick meets your state’s criteria for a lemon then I strongly suggest you file a lemon claim. You can start by calling Ford customer service and telling them you’d like to submit a lemon claim. They’ll likely deny your claim (it seems like that’s their first line of defense), but...
  13. Replacing 12v battery

Thanks for sharing. I guess I’ll stick with Bluespec’s settings. I haven’t even owned my truck a year and it’s spent a combined total of multiple months at the dealership for this issue with no fix. It’s so frustrating that the ford engineers can’t figure it out so we get left guessing how to...
  14. Replacing 12v battery

I recognize your name so I apologize if I’ve asked this before, but did you update the battery settings with forscan when putting the new AGM battery in? If so, do you remember what they were before you changed them, and do you remember what you set them to?
  15. AGM for Hybrid

Fascinating data! Thanks for sharing. This gives me hope that installing the AGM battery and using your Forscan settings will resolve my deep sleep/dead battery issues.
  16. AGM for Hybrid

Thanks for sharing all those details. I’ll plan on ordering a Forscan adapter so that I can use the same settings as you. It’s unfortunate to see your Escape SOC getting down around 50%. Hopefully that’s not a sign of an issue.
  17. AGM for Hybrid

How long have you had your AGM installed? Have you had any deep sleep warnings since you installed it? Did you need to do any reprogramming with Forscan to enter the new battery specs? Any other tips that I should know for swapping an AGM into my maverick?
  18. Deep Sleep Poll Hybrid Owners

Can anybody confirm whether it is actually necessary to use Forscan to reprogram the battery specs when installing a bigger AGM battery? For those who haven’t read all my posts, I’ve been plagued by deep sleep/dead battery issues. Ford hasn’t been able to diagnose it, but they did try replacing...
  19. Deep Sleep Poll Hybrid Owners

Does the plastic cover still fit on top of the battery after you installed the AGM battery? I noticed that you had to increase to an H4 size battery since they don’t make a T4 battery in AGM.
  20. Deep Sleep Poll Hybrid Owners

I have not had a conclusive fix yet. My most recent issues were a series of intermittent dead batteries around October. I took my maverick in for numerous service center visits and they struggled to duplicate the issue or find a solution. The last visit in that series of visits lasted for about...
