So what's my chances with a 23 ecoboost FX4 and tow package being built in 23?

...
XLT Lux = 37% capacity but 35% orders.
..
Not that it really makes any difference but I think he said that was 30% capacity and 25% of orders unless he gave different numbers somewhere else in his video.

Was was taking notes on the things that impacted me and I double checked and it is at about 57:40 in the video.

Thanks for putting all the number together. Ford should really publish this for people to see.

According to Tim this evening:

68% Hybrid orders compared to 35% capacity.
32% EB orders compared to 65% capacity.

Other than the hybrid, standalone tow hitch and splashguards seem to be the items over build capacity.

XLT Lux = 37% capacity but 35% orders.
Lariat Lux = 25% capacity but 20% orders.
Tremor = 8% capacity but 2% orders

Appearance packages are all under capacity constraints compared to orders:

BAP = 10% capacity but 8% orders.
TAP = 3% capacity but "hardly anyone ordered it"

CP360 = 60% capacity but 50% orders
CP360A = 25% capacity but 8% orders.
Moonroof = 38% capacity but 13% orders.
Hitch = 45% capacity but 65% orders... includes any packages that includes hitch.

Keep in mind those hitches are likely also on a lot of the hybrids that mathematically cannot be built. So, I don't know if I would remove the hitch. The hybrid would likely be the larger constraint than the hitch.

Note: this has been updated as more information had been requested.
Bob, thanks for the time and effort you put in, making Tim's video easy to understand. :)

Well I guess now I get to debate whether or not to drop my standalone hitch. It's literally the only additional option I have specced on my XLT.

I think if they had a made it possible to get Tremor and 4k more Tremor would have been ordered. I probably would have.

So what I am seeing, if I add spray on liner it won't hurt things? It was the only thing I didn't add due to constraint concerns. Would rather Ford do it ahead so I don't have to mess with it and have in the payments.

From what he said it sounds really good.

Earlier in the thread Comadorbob pointed out that the trailer hitch constraint is not as bad as it sounds because it includes a lot of hybrids that will not be built.

I have an Ecoboost/XLT/Lux package/Copilot 360 ordered and I am optimistic that it will be built by the late spring as long as there is not some future problem like a rail strike.

Corrected. It was a lot of info I was writing down at the same time and scrubbing back and forth to ensure I was being comprehensive.

Thanks for the assist.

Mathematically. Ford could pull a fast one on us. But if you can drop the hitch, UHaul sells one. It isn't as cheap as the factory option. But that may make the difference in one Hybrid being picked over another.

No, they will not (should not) cancel your order. If you have a VIN, they at least anticipate having your parts soon. You might get pushed a few weeks, but don't see you getting bumped to the next model year.
So the date for production is subject to change aka shift the timeline to keep me on the hook but it is at least part of what is in the pipeline. Jeez i did not assume in would have to a mathematician to figure out if the truck i ordered would be built. Thanks for all the clarification on Ford's Mumbo jumbo.......maybe by summer.......

The way Tim was talking on the video about the hitch, sounded like Ford was talking about add on hitches, the ones that were ordered separately and not included in one of the packages. Unless I mis-understood what he said. Which is entirely possible.

I was all set to call up my dealer and switch to the Tremor when it was available until I learned it dropped the 4k. My dealer had no idea about that. Had to find out online. They also told me when I ordered on 9/16 that the Tremor wouldn't be available to order until Spring. They really had no clue about any Maverick options when I was in there. Had to alter my order the next day because I wanted the rear slider but he said it wasn't available on the XLT. Called the next day and walked him through where it was located in the build and price site.

Good question. I have on order a XLT FX4 with no further options, and I believe FX4 still come with a hitch right?

Looks like a lot of room for dealer EB stock orders. Wonder how that will affect EB dealer markup? For some one who has not ordered but wants an EB, it may not be too bad later in the MY23 year. Two Cents!!!

Ford could present hybrid orders an option to rollover to EB's, but I am sure the dealers like the stock order option better. Many people who want hybrids probably would not rollover anyway??
