According to Tim this evening,
68% Hybrid orders compared to 35% capacity.
32% EB orders compared to 65% capacity.

Other than the hybrid, standalone tow hitch and splashguards seem to be the items over build capacity.

XLT Lux = 37% capacity but 35% orders.
Lariat Lux = 25% capacity but 20% orders.
Tremor = 8% capacity but 2% orders

Appearance packages are all under capacity compared to orders:

BAP = 10% capacity but 8% orders.
TAP = 3% capacity but "hardly anyone ordered it"

CP360 = 60% capacity but 50% orders
CP360A = 25% capacity but 8% orders.
Moonroof = 38% capacity but 13% orders.
Hitch = 45% capacity but 65% orders... includes any packages that includes hitch.

Keep in mind those hitches are likely also on a lot of the hybrids that mathematically cannot be built. So, I don't know if I would remove the hitch. The hybrid would likely be the larger constraint than the hitch.

So if you have a Vin, are you saying they can cancel the order because Ford did not do the math correctly and now they don't have enough parts to produce the goods?

No, they will not (should not) cancel your order. If you have a VIN, they at least anticipate having your parts soon. You might get pushed a few weeks, but don't see you getting bumped to the next model year.

Pretty much what Ford is telling dealerships right now. And the MY22 cancellations will be first.

But if you have a Tremor order, you have to feel good about it.

Wow, only half of the 2023 hybrid orders are going to be built. The other half will get cancelled and rolled over to 2024.

It looks like that. The one thing we don't know is the total capacity that they have to build. If they can build 100K Mavs total, then the # of hybrids that they will be able to build will be higher than just half. But it is hard to see a situation where all of the hybrid orders will be able to be built this MY.

They won't cancel MY23s that have a VIN at this point. They are just letting dealers know half of the hybrid retail orders won't be scheduled because they don't have the capacity.

Hitches are available on line but the wiring harness is extra.
cost on line about $350.00
i would rather they cancel my hitch and not my truck.

I guess I can feel like an official member now. With two hybrid hitch trucks on order......I'm already sweating not getting either of them built. Exactly what I get for thinking I was going to get MY23 orders in early....so I would be at the front of the line.

I said I wasn't in a hurry and would wait patiently to get my trucks.....and couple of months in with no scheduling email.....negativity kicks me in the face.

I'll wait and may keep the hitches on.....but in the meantime, I'm going to wear out Ford Customer Service until they get me scheduled. (i know....i know....just let me dream)

So you're saying, it....it wasn't....meant to be? :'( In all seriousness, that's exactly what I ordered, lol. Man, if only I had known about this site a week earlier and seen the projected MY23 numbers, I could have ordered EB before orders closed. Well, since I'm not hurting for my deposit back, I guess I'll keep my order in just in case Ford decides to be proactive (ha!) and offer the overbooked hybrids an option to go EB. After reading much here about what to expect from the hybrids, it looks like my short 20-minute early morning commute in WA state weather may not benefit as much from a hybrid as I first thought. The EB still gets better mpg than our 2004 CRV.

Go talk to your dealer. EB Mavericks will be built for dealer stock. Lots of EB xlt with no options are going to be getting built and shipped for stock next year in my opinion.

So, given all this, why isn't ford offering option for hybrid orders to change to EB? I'm not sure I would, myself, but surely faced with these numbers a bunch would.

My thoughts exactly. The dealers last year converted quite a number of hybrids to Eco's to get people trucks.

This so much, especially if there are available parts. I would LOVE to have it on my XLT Ecoboost, instead I'm going to have to try to hack it in after delivery.

Go talk to your dealer. EB Mavericks will be built for dealer stock. Lots of EB xlt with no options are going to be getting built and shipped for stock next year in my opinion.

They also seem to have lots of extra capacity to make Tremors which would have lots of margin for Ford.

Getting a significant number of Mavericks to the dealers would really help end the price gouging and Ford has been getting a lot of flack about that.

With inflation there will also likely be a mid year price increase and those could also be sold at the higher price without price protection.

I converted to a '23 and a week later I got a scheduled date in January. I have a #2 priority. Currently.

Ford has not converted any of the VINed 22 orders to 23s yet. And they have not scheduled any build weeks in Jan yet.

It's bad for everyone, including Ford. We are at the mercy of the supply chain now. Ford managed to get it done last year and I'm trying to remain optimistic about this year. With potentially 12 months of production still left and only 77,000 orders, that means Ford only needs to build 6400 a month.

The problem is that it is not 77,000 orders and 6400/month. It is the fact that the number of hybrids ordered far exceeds the number of hybrids they can make in a year.

Man this is going to really suck. As more and more of this info gets posted, I'm starting to think i will never get my hybrid built. Ford obviously overestimated the demand for them. I think??

No Santa Cruz for me. It just doesnt appeal to me and doesnt look like a truck. My first truck many moons ago was a Toyota that lasted me 13 years. If they come out with a Maverick competitor I may have to give that a look, but Ford may force my hand if my order gets pushed into the land of pushed orders.
