I wish you could get CP360A without lariat in lux and tremor for hybrid
This so much, especially if there are available parts. I would LOVE to have it on my XLT Ecoboost, instead I'm going to have to try to hack it in after delivery.

@Ford Motor Company open up copilot 360 assist package to be added separately.

So what you’re saying is, with a MY23 hybrid xlt lux ordered, I have a better chance to find Jimmy Hoffa than to receive my maverick?

It is much more complex than simple constraints. Perhaps more important is your dealer's allocation. A dealer that loaded up hundreds of hybrid orders without allocations to cover is a bad situation.

Does this mean people aren't really going for the Black Appearance Package?

That settles it! I'm adding it to my 2022 rollover.
I did the exact same thing when I saw orders actually getting scheduled with BAP. Two days later, viola! Scheduled!

Tim seemed to indicate Ford will save the hitches for the packages that include them. But we also don't know how many hybrids have hitches. If you have a hybrid order with a standalone hitch, you likely had better odds at the powerball last night.
So you're saying, it....it wasn't....meant to be? :'( In all seriousness, that's exactly what I ordered, lol. Man, if only I had known about this site a week earlier and seen the projected MY23 numbers, I could have ordered EB before orders closed. Well, since I'm not hurting for my deposit back, I guess I'll keep my order in just in case Ford decides to be proactive (ha!) and offer the overbooked hybrids an option to go EB. After reading much here about what to expect from the hybrids, it looks like my short 20-minute early morning commute in WA state weather may not benefit as much from a hybrid as I first thought. The EB still gets better mpg than our 2004 CRV.

Some quick Excel math.

48.53% of hybrids cannot be built assuming Ford only builds 77,800 more total trucks for MY23.
Ford has over half of their EB capacity still open.
Ford has 3X as much Tremor capacity remaining as orders taken.
Ford has 2X as much CP360 Assist capacity remaining as orders taken.
Ford has almost double the number of moonroof capacity remaining as orders taken.

Assuming an equal percentage of hybrids and EB took the hitch (65%), then the hitch overage is actually proportional to the hybrid overage. So, if you end up constrained due to hybrid, then the hitch over orders would have made no difference anyway.

One complication is that there has been speculation that 2023 could be a short production year.

They could start making 2024 Mavericks by the middle of the summer to get on a more normal schedule where the new model year starts being sold around September.

no speculation, my22 ran long so my23 will be shorter but not that short

I guess those of us with canceled 22’s who are rolling over to 23’s are in the driver’s seat as we are getting a clear shot at getting whatever we want on our orders. As long as you don’t put dealer available accessories on you should get scheduled and built as a 23.

Where is the black appearance package stats?
It was on the OP. The orders are under capacity. Trying to have it removed from my order, but my dealer says they aren't able to in their system or and they don't know why. Something seems fishy.

Pretty much what Ford is telling dealerships right now. And the MY22 cancellations will be first.

But if you have a Tremor order, you have to feel good about it.
I do, I do! Not to mention its a $3k Granger Tremor and they have already allocations for half their remaining orders! Ford chat said it could be scheduled at any time.

So, given all this, why isn't ford offering option for hybrid orders to change to EB? I'm not sure I would, myself, but surely faced with these numbers a bunch would.

At least the '23 orders are going into the situation with a "heads up" as to the lengthy wait. Over a year ago my salesman told me 4 to 8 weeks.
In an email conversation with my sells rep I said how as this gone from 8-12 weeks, to 6 months, to one year plus, to now "I don't know." His response floored me when he said "I don't know who told you 8-12 weeks, but that was unreasonable.

He told told me 8-12 weeks, and I would probably getting it before 2021 ended. Glad I didn't hold my breathe.

Ford didn't initially intend to build the number of 22's that they got retail orders for. The fact that they are, albeit late in the production year or rolled to 23, shows they are doing everything they can to get them built.

Model year 23's are no different. Ford will be moving heaven and earth to get these built as well, regardless of options or trim. Bottom line is, Ford is in business to make money. This early in the game, they aren't going to throw up their hands and say this is all we can build. Right now, I believe they are just trying to manage expectations with a worst case scenario of what parts they will be able to procure.

This is a reasonable read, and I agree. Also, I know they can't possibly schedule or look out a year, but I sure do wish they had some system for saying, "Okay, look, you are NOT getting built," so those people could move on. This year-long hanging on the edge and hoping is a terrible business model.

It's bad for everyone, including Ford. We are at the mercy of the supply chain now. Ford managed to get it done last year and I'm trying to remain optimistic about this year. With potentially 12 months of production still left and only 77,000 orders, that means Ford only needs to build 6400 a month.
