The fact all those packages are short on demand is at least partially just people worrying about constraints and keeping it as simple as possible. Ford’s just costing themselves some money on that front.

They will not be building your 22 in January.With
Yeah I said the same thing last week. Ford doesn't want to lose the reputation of new orders. They'd rather continue screwing us 22 orders because we already hate them. What's another month or twoYea yeah I know ford is not known for handling this situation well at all, but it would be colossally stupid for them to start the 23s off on that bad foot. They currently have one small group of pissed off customers, no need for them to piss off the currently scheduled 23s. Fewer (even if more severe) pissed off customers.
What is laughable is that Ford says ''hi yall, we are going to make a bunch of Maverick PICKUP trucks, but less than half will be able to have trailer hitches.''I didn't write them down because it was laughably low. If you want pretty much any of the appearance packages, the demand is below capacity.
I have a converted '23They will not be building your 22 in January.
I think that with the JIT stupidity they had no idea of their ability.What is laughable is that Ford says ''hi yall, we are going to make a bunch of Maverick PICKUP trucks, but less than half will be able to have trailer hitches.''
You had a 22 with a VIN that got cancelled? And you have a current build date in Jan? Anyone want to tell him?I have a converted '23
I converted to a '23 and a week later I got a scheduled date in January. I have a #2 priority. Currently.You had a 22 with a VIN that got cancelled? And you have a current build date in Jan? Anyone want to tell him?
Well the two options I want might cost me the Maverick. Hybrid and a tow hitch. Sucky news. Guess I just have to hope to get lucky.
I 110% expect Ford to STOP production while they gather the necessary parts to build my cancelled 22 VIN!!Of course, pretty common knowledge. Do you think Ford is just going to shut down the plant while they are working on converting the cancelled 22s, or do you think they will keep the line moving building 23s?
Also, if there are cancelled 22s with constrained items that are backordered, do you think they just stop the line and wait for the parts, or more likely to keep the line moving and set those orders aside for the time being?
I wish you could get CP360A without lariat in lux and tremor for hybridAccording to Tim this evening,
68% Hybrid orders compared to 35% capacity.
32% EB orders compared to 65% capacity.
Other than the hybrid, standalone tow hitch and splashguards seem to be the items over build capacity.
XLT Lux = 37% capacity but 35% orders.
Larat Lux = 25% capacity but 20% orders.
Tremor = 8% capacity but 2% orders
Appearance packages are all under capacity compared to orders:
BAP = 10% capacity but 8% orders.
TAP = 3% capacity but "hardly anyone ordered it"
CP360 = 60% capacity but 50% orders
CP360A = 25% capacity but 8% orders.
Moonroof = 38% capacity but 13% orders.
Hitch = 45% capacity but 65% orders... includes any packages that includes hitch.
Keep in mind those hitches are likely also on a lot of the hybrids that mathematically cannot be built. So, I don't know if I would remove the hitch. The hybrid would likely be the larger constraint than the hitch.
