That Pepper Red was my first color option in the build. I later changed the order/build to Velocity Blue. Good luck to you and everyone else. The Maverick would make a nice Christmas gift for many.

It's mentioned someplace on this forum that the Hot Pepper Red is being delayed some have changed their color because of this.

First time I've heard that. According to the reddit doc it's been scheduling at a rate consistent with percentage of people here that reported ordering it. You might be thinking of Rapid Red, the First Edition exclusive color, which is known to be late availability.

I think many orders not going to production is also related to your dealers allocation. Once they hit the allocation for the month as some of these dealers report, no additional orders are pulled. Ford apparently gives allocation based on previous order/sales numbers. This can be a good or bad thing if you go with a bigger dealership with lots of orders vs a smaller or mid sized dealers with fewer orders. In my case I am with a smaller dealer with fewer orders, but my order was within the allocation they had and I was scheduled for Oct 4th build week. Not to mention of course that they have all the parts available for your particular build.

Whatever happened with Ford's story that if you placed an order before 7/15 then it wouldn't count toward the dealer's regular allocation? Was that just smoke and mirrors?

got the a note from my guy at the dealership saying my Hybrid XLT is scheduled and serialized with a production date of Oct 11.

Probably because it was a rumor that Ford said that. This boards are filled with rumors and speculation that gets twisted even more as it is spread. I never saw that anywhere.
