I'm really confused as to what is happening here.
Glad to see somebody is getting an XL hybrid. Really I am.
But why are new 24 orders being built before the same 23s waiting almost a year now?
My god are they running us suckers thru the wringer
Most likely their dealer had no rollover orders, or their few rollovers they do have, had constraints that made them harder for ford to fulfill at this time. Ford has moved most rollover orders to a priority 2. we saw ford only schedule priority 2 for this first round of scheduling, at our dealership. we do have a few local new 24 orders in and non of them were selected.

Still no email but when I messaged Ford chat I got my Vin and scheduled build date.

Anyone have any ideas on when//how to get the private offer?

So you got no text or email, but you messaged ford and got that? Did your salesman not let you know either?

Yeah I heard nothing from my dealership. My wife got an email every step of the way on her 2023 XLT.

I got 1 email when my 2023 XL went into the order banks, and 1 email in July about 'sorry we cannot build your 2023, go put in an order for a 2024'. No other emails.

My not worried about the dealership, we had no issues with my wife's 2023 XLT. At least I have a vin now & can track it myself. I just wonder if I'll miss a private offer email. How do we get the private offer?

For MY 23 dealers were going off the allocation formula from MY 22. Ford did not give dealers their allocation number until after the order banks closed, and when they did they then at that point told dealers that the formula had been changed. this is what screwed dealers up and caused dealers to take to many orders.
No, that isn't how it was for model year 2023. BECAUSE Dealers knew how the 2022 model year sales and allocations went, they knew about what to expect. Ford, at that time, did not indicate an availability increase for 2023. Now if you were caught cheating or bending the rules of the order/allocation system that could certainly cause too many orders to have been taken. Your "allocation formula" would have changed.

The Maverick is the first mass production vehicle that Ford Dealers have had to contend with such a demand for. They really didn't know what to expect and it is true Ford gave no extra guidance early on. Live and learn. Now it looks like ordering a Maverick is going to go a LOT smoother.....

Your dealer may have typed your email in wrong, which would lead to not getting the email.

Does anyone know why I would get a text telling me that my truck will be going into production 10-23-23 and not receive an email with a VIN no?The dealer and ford have no clue.

They're 13% over on hybrid orders already according to post #35 above.
that means 68% of the 53,000 are hybrids, they plan to build 120,000 total trucks so that means they can build 66,000 hybrids. So there are 36,000 hybrids on order that will get built, as long as they don’t have mud flaps 😉

Long McArthur Ford - Mike said that ford builds about 10,000 plus a month now. He even stated exactly what I wrote in a recent YouTube video.

Apparently, new customers are paying more for the same Hybrid. It is like selling 2023 XLT for the price of 2024 XL.
I am also waiting on XL hybrid since last year.

OK, but Ford said 24 model production would run for 13 months. 23 model production only running for 11.

So I have a chance my carryover 23 XL priority 2 will get built?

The whole ordering situation is somewhat comical. There are those who've been waiting months or years then there's the new crop of buyers who thought they'd be waiting a year only to find out their order got scheduled in a week but they don't have their finances in order yet.
