Early '23. Anyone saying days is talking crazy. They won't sell 100k in days.

My "problem" is, get a '23 HEV or '24 PHEV.
Order one 23 then a week later order another 23. Do the same when 24 ordering opens but look at demand and decide to wait maybe two or three weeks before the second 24 is ordered. When they come in trade the prior one in at Kelly blue trade in amount and repeat until the last one maybe a 25 is free!

The real question is:

Will Ford get the 2023 Build and Price up on their website before 2023s are sold out?

This channel said on a trip to Utah they only saw one Mav the entire time.

I drove from Pensacola, FL to Los Angeles last week and saw only one Maverick at a rest stop in Texas. I have only seen four total and one of those probably the same one twice.

All this assumes the persistence of a seller's market, that there are no economic forces that would disrupt that. That assumption may be correct. IMHO it is very possibly wishful thinking and will prove not correct. I am here because I would like to buy a Maverick and because I am looking at what that entails. My big toe says "wait." I'm not desperate.

If Ford starts to show commercials during college and pro football games, Chicago PD, Lone Star Law, hunting and fishing shows, I will go with somewhere between Christmas and January 20.

At least in my area, Ford is running commercials for every vehicle they offer EXCEPT the Maverick. Which tells me they already know their '23 order books are going to fill quickly.

Hopefully they shut order banks earlier instead giving false hope to so many. 20K plus unfulfilled orders for 22, enough said.

Considering how many people have stated their intention to order a Maverick with no intention of actually driving it (just to flip $$$) I would be surprised if the order banks stay open for more than a month.

The only thing that will be "sold out" is your ticket for the production allocation lottery.

They've already issued 105k VINs for MY22, and they're still not done scheduling. The big wildcard is truly how much the supply chain recovers (or continues on the same path). Keep in mind, production volume this year was dramatically impacted not only by supply chain issues, but also in delays incurred dealing with typical first model year gremlins (bad wiring harness, gas tank damage from incorrect spray-in bedliner procedures, mods required to stave off engine fires, etc.).

This would tend to suggest that production numbers for MY23 should increase, but the other thing to keep in mind is that a typical model year production run would usually end closer to late September, but due to all the delays, MY22 Maverick production is running into November. This means, if they try to get back onto the old cycle next year, this extension of MY22 production will cut into MY23 volume. Even at 10k per month, if they produce From mid-Nov 2022 to even mid-Oct 2023, that's roughly 110k trucks.

The only saving grace of my order getting rolled over is that it will supposedly get built before that wave of pent-up demand crashes into Hermosillo. I'll believe it when I see it, though! :ROFLMAO:
Keep in mind the VIN counts are for ALL countries. About 10% of Mavericks go to Canada, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, and a few other South American countries. The US gets the other 90%. Not sold outside of North and South America.

Here's what Ford should do:

Open order banks ~9/12 ONLY for existing Maverick orders that are rolling over. Give those folks a chance to re-order a 2023 before opening the flood gates.

Then Ford can simply open order banks for NEW orders, a month or two later. This would at least give a few more rounds of scheduling in which there are ONLY existing orders to select from. I think once new orders bombard the system along side existing orders that are converted and supposedly getting priority, we will once again, see new orders being scheduled before old orders. Ford has no explanation for why that continues to happen so I genuinely don't believe Ford will prioritize rolled over 2022 orders in any way, other than telling the customer that their order has priority.

And before Admin deletes this one for trolling, I'M NOT TROLLLING. This is my real take on this situation, no need to delete the comment and prevent me from further replies like you've done on the last two threads.
