hopefully everyone saw the news a planned new Transit Connect is not going to be built in Hermosillo? These means extra capacity for building mavs going forward

Excellent points in the last paragraph.I don't think there will be anywhere near 50k 2022s not getting built as 22s. I would bet less than 1/2 that and we can actually verify for sure by simply taking the actual numbers produced since start of production Ford publishes in monthly readouts and subtracting that from the total VINs issued like theway-yay-ting has been monitoring. Most of them not getting built will be due to constrained items requiring parts that haven't shown up in time from vendors. CP360 keeps having shortages, hybrids have had shortages repeatedly, even "Full size" spares and mud flaps have been constrained during production run this year, etc.
Monthly build capacity can always be increased by adding overtime and shifts. They could build another complete production line in Hermosillo if demand called for it -IF- they have all the parts- and that has been more than anything responsible for not seeing bigger monthly production rates all year IMO.
It's interesting to see the VIN numbers and build weeks not match up. I got my VIN today and I am in the 105,000 range and the week of 10/17. An earlier VIN than you, but a later week.My order with Granger Ford was just scheduled for the week of 10/10. VIN is 3FTTW8F94NRB07XXX which puts it in the 107,000 range with a couple more weeks of scheduling. I figure they will hit 110,000-115,000 for 2022. I would imagine they can manage at least that for 2023.
I'd be surprised if the order banks are open more than a few months. With all the "pre-orders" and rollovers it might be a lot less than that.
Yes I agree Norman! 2023 sell out will be just a few days. Even if Ford can somehow avoid supply chain shortages and add a shift to increase capacity to 200k builds, the flippers will have orders loaded up on Sept 15 and could buy up every bit of extra capacity.Five to Eight days.
I see the heads snapping , trucks catching up to slow down beside me, on my occasional jaunt to and from work. Have seen 5 total since last year in the wild. I might order another in a slightly different config myself. It will be headlines when 23 ordering comes and goes imo2 weeks tops, There system is going to crash several times with all the dealers entering their 'pre-orders" as fast as possible. If it wasn't for the crashing, it would be over in 3 days. Ford has no clue how many people want the Maverick.
I too and have seen only 5 as well here in N. Lower Michigan. 3 the last month and I think one of them was the same truck. I think they will be sold out by year end.I see the heads snapping , trucks catching up to slow down beside me, on my occasional jaunt to and from work. Have seen 5 total since last year in the wild. I might order another in a slightly different config myself. It will be headlines when 23 ordering comes and goes imo

I've been waiting since October. They still have a lot of previous orders to fill so it's hard to say. If they do 50k a year and there's still 20k of orders to fill it will be worse than last year. Also depends on how much they raise the price. And now there's a LOT of people chomping at the bit to get in line. I'll bet things fill up early December. How quickly do you think the 2023 Maverick will sell out and Ford will stop taking orders? I waited too long to pull the trigger on ordering a 2022 and alredy have a deposit at a dealership for the 2023.
This channel said on a trip to Utah they only saw one Mav the entire time.I see the heads snapping , trucks catching up to slow down beside me, on my occasional jaunt to and from work. Have seen 5 total since last year in the wild. I might order another in a slightly different config myself. It will be headlines when 23 ordering comes and goes imo

Ya, or, most people who wanted one already got one. First year is always most demanding, most exciting. I bet demand is same or lower as more and more choices come out.2 weeks tops, There system is going to crash several times with all the dealers entering their 'pre-orders" as fast as possible. My "problem" is, get a '23 HEV or '24 PHEV.Ya, or, most people who wanted one already got one. First year is always most demanding, most exciting. I bet demand is same or lower as more and more choices come out.
