Got a voicemail today from my Ford salesman and he said order banks are now Sept. 15th.

My point seems to be lost on you, so this will be my last attempt at it. Since we know that the supply chain disruptions have been pretty consistent without some extraordinary event occurring in the past week, we can deduce that whatever drove ford to move dates backward, then forward, the backward again was not external.

It is pretty easy to see that Ford has some internal communication problems. One needs to look no further than this page which current shows an order date in Aug.https://www.ford.com/trucks/maverick/
Funny, I was going to say the same thing. The matter is we don't know what has caused them to move the dates forwards and backwards, therefore we don't know if it solely internal or possibly external issues. As far as communications within manufacturers, they all have issues, and I've worked at dealerships for five different ones and they all have poor communications between departments, like technical/engineering and parts -- some have virtually no communication at all. Now couple various departments with dozens of outside vendors and it's a wonder half of the cars make it to market reasonably close to any scheduled launch date.

Just got off the phone with fords maverick team and the nice lady on the phone said her email this morning said order bank isn’t opening til sept 15th. Anyone else hear this?
I just went to my Ford dealer yesterday and put my order in. Says they will input when ordering opens in a few days. Plus it gives you price lock guarantee if the prices go up on 23's...or at least a little protection.

Of course it is. I’m also no longer ordering one from them. Priority Ford in Norfolk, VA. Anyone who pays a $10-12k markup on a Maverick deserves that life lesson. The shithead dealerships shouldn’t be allowed to do it in the first place. Canadian dealers aren’t allowed to do this despite being a franchise.
sorry, I only loosely follow this thread and I haven't gotten a handle on all of the personalities yet. just making sure we weren't about to enter a brave new world of maverick pricing :D

In any event I emailed my contact at the local Ford dealer the other day and she had not heard that the date was pushed back. I also had to let her know before that we could indeed place an order for a hybrid on the 2nd (this was before the latest announcement obviously).

Yes sir it does. So that means it is until it isn't. Ole fashioned shit show.

Luis at Mak Haik Houston emailed he doesn't have any more data. Said they have an inventory and ordering meeting Monday morning and he hopes to know more then. Said he would update me after.
$hit show is right. Delays happen….get it. But wow.

At this point that Blue Oval has proven it is being misleading its customers by not communicating or is totally incompetent.

I really haven’t had the desire to contact Ford as other have and navigate through their broken system….but really appreciate the information on this forum👍

Trust me Ford knows their constrains from parts to production. They oversold several models and there is no way they can live up to what they originally communicated.

Heck Ford can’t even communicate to their dealers and keep people informed.

Ford is hiding behind its dealerships. “Hey thanks for your order it has been delayed….contact your dealer for more information”…..and Ford doesn’t prepare their dealerships.

What if Ford needs time to redo the lux packages to include catch cans, tailgate dampers, lifted suspension, Bronco wheels, badging deletes, ceramic coatings, and CD Players instead of the constrained materials such as heated seats, Co Pilot 360, blind spot mirrors, etc?

YES, this is total sarcasm.

…and green as a color option, especially Eruption Green. Oh, wait…And “3 on the tree” manual transmission.

(more sarcasm)

Good portion of Americans were bred to be bootlickers of corporations and things not in their best interest. Ford has f*cked up numerous steps in this Maverick process, boggles my mind that anyone defends them at all.
The Blue Oval Bootlickers are strong🙃. I have owned 3 Fords. Two were good (not great) and one not so good.

Putting an order in for a hybrid Maverick was a leap of faith. My father in law has the gawd awful Cmax but the hybrid system seemed solid so I figured what the heck…..keep it through the warranty period.

I am going to see this order process through. When if the vehicle arrives I will assess the current situation. Does this vehicle impress me enough to fork over my $. Is there anything else available that is or will be available in the near future that is better. Was the wait worth it.

Don't think any of this is correct. If the dealer is saying they they were BSing you for the order. Consensus on dealers in the loop is 9/15, or more data needed. Few are actually trying to say 8/2 still. And you get no price protection on a new order until it goes into the order bank, not when you give it to the dealer. So if it goes up ahead of them entering it you will pay the increase.

I have an appointment with my dealer on August 2nd to sit down and enter my order.

Anyone want to bet whether I get a call to tell me not to bother coming in?
Go to your dealer. Do the order sheet. Get guaranteed MSRP in writting. Sales Mgr. signed mine with an email back-up. I called inquiring about the order date shift in relation to my order. He told me to just sit tight.

Well worth the agonizing wait. Love my XL. So does everyone else on the Beach! Happy Trails!

Why, if the build sheets aren't out and order banks aren't open? You just waste your own time, and will have to do it all again with the new data. Just wait until it's the right time. You won't get your truck any faster, save any money, and will drive yourself and your dealer crazy jumping through unnecessary hoops.

Yes Ford Authority mentioned it ,but they usually get their information from the Maverick Club.
