I spoke with a dealer yesterday and asked about the order banks getting moved back to September. They said they confirmed Aug 2 with their Ford rep, lol. I believe fordvideoguy's info is correct so Tuesday should be interesting for a lot of dealers.

Don't get all the hate on Ford over this. They haven't announced anything on these dates. First official thing on ordering I've seen is the Tremor roll out that says order in August (which may be right or wrong in the end).

Ford sent memos out on the planned dates. Those were leaked to the public. Ford absolutely has some issues to work out for not being able to nail this down better, but it wasn't some count down clock on their website they need to walk back.

Relax, it's not changing the date you get a truck much if at all. If you don't like it, speak with your wallet and don't buy one.

Yesterday, my salesman told me August 2.

Oh, it’s official.
The news finally came through on the Ford Authority email message this morning.
https://fordauthority.com/2022/07/2023-ford-maverick-order-banks-will-now-open-up-in-september/
Still a rumor. Official is when Ford stands up and puts their stamp on it (like the date shown on the Tremor release on their web page). Not saying this is right/wrong. It's probably right. But it's unofficial until it's official. And Ford isn't saying much officially so they can avoid the fallout.

Im sorry, but Ford sent out emails/bulletins a few weeks ago stating a date of Aug 15, then Ford sent out emails/bulletins last week stating a date of Aug 2, and now Ford has said Sept.

These ARE statements from Ford, with their stamp on it.

That was last Fridays bulletin, the change was made this week. But, who knows, anything is possible.
The post I referenced was from yesterdays bulletin, which was posted 39 minutes earlier by an insider.

Those are not official public statements. Those are internal communications (or communications with entities with connected business interests) that someone decided to leak, or anonymous sources speaking to pseudo media. An official statement is one Ford goes on record with media (or quasi media) allowing for distribution or on their official platform (i.e. Website, official Facebook, etc.). There is no debating this, it's a statement of fact for what an official public statement is.

The process has been a hot mess, not defending the big picture. But this screaming for the order date moving is over the top considering Ford Corporate hasn't gone on record with a hard date to the public. Granted they have allowed the dealers to be fall guys with it... But that's a different debate on if dealers should have been releasing their data or not (and if that was Fords intention which it well could have been).

Interesting. Guess marketing didn't get the memo the dealers did on order date in September. That is certainly one that falls square on Ford since it was on their website.

My dealer called me this morning, I answered with, “Calling to tell me it’s September now?”

He said no, October.

I’d wager he’s less informed…right?🤞😅

Not trying to argue with ya, but you are moving the goal posts a bit here. You said "Official is when Ford stands up and puts their stamp on it", and I point out that Ford DID put their stamp on it when it sent tens of thousands of dealers the release dates. That pretty friggin official. I mean, the email came from Ford Motor Co and the bulletin was posted on FoMoCo's webpage.

Now you are saying it has to be a release "to the public". 1. I disagree with the premise. 2. When Ford tells dealers 'here is the date you should tell your customers', that is a defacto statement to the pubic.

Good portion of Americans were bred to be bootlickers of corporations and things not in their best interest. Ford has f*cked up numerous steps in this Maverick process, boggles my mind that anyone defends them at all.
