They said the tailgate compartment is 4" deep and then show it being used as a cooler with soda cans standing up in it. Soda cans are 4-1/2" tall. So, did they saw off the bottom of the cans to fake that picture?

"Much wider stance." Even more bloated than it already was, of course. Wake me up when Chevy makes a replacement for my S10.
Those are probably the 8oz cans.

How is this related to Maverick? It's a mid-size body on frame truck and not direct competition?
Your right! This is a competitor to the Ranger. 🍎 to 🍎!👍

The maverick tremor may good be good cross bridge between mid size truck off roader and small truck off roader

Super nice looking…those prices…eh, no.

However, GM will definitely need a direct Mav competitor.

The new trail boss looks pretty awesome. As a 21 Tacoma owner until recently, they are playing catch up to what Toyota did in 2016 with this design. Nissan did the same thing with the Frontier but in a crappier way. The current Colorado, Canyon interiors are so shitty that anything is a welcome upgrade.

Most likely $40k tops. The ZR2 will be $50k. Not really a fair comparison to the Mav as it’s a bigger truck.

Isn't the Trail Boss an upgraded ZR2 trim? That was the basis of my assumption on 50s.

Ahree it's not a Maverick comparison. Bigger body on frame with serious off road chops looking to take on truck buyers who want a smaller suburban or even city ride for the Colorado. The cross over in that Venn Diagram is small.

That is actually a really cool tailgate idea / design. As for as the comparison to the Maverick…..ok. However what interests most people about the Maverick is the hybrid powertrain.
For people like me that need a commuter with a bed it is a slam dunk.

No, it’s a new trim below the ZR2 and Z71. It’s a raised 4x4 without the bells and whistles of a ZR2.

I’ll be curious to see the MPG on the Trail Boss. If the turbo 4 cylinder averages 25mpg, I’ll be interested.

Toyodor has a lot of work to do to catch the new Ranger. The Ranger Raptor is in a class by itself. The much ballyhooed TRO is way behind. They will try but like the F150 Raptor, everyone tries to match but fails miserably. Just my opinion but the blue oval just seems to be step ahead when they want to be, especially the Raptor models. You drive off of the lot with a badass vehicle, no mods necessary. Yes I am biased on this subject but I am also fine with anyone getting what they want and competition is healthy.
True however Toyodor has something the Blue Oval will never catch up to. Looooong track record of building reliable vehicle across their entire line.
Not being first to market and one step behind the latest innovation is very Japanese. They take their time to do things right.

25 mpg would be tempting. The Trail Boss really is great looking inside and out. Nicely done by GM
