Rangers and Colorados start at a base price around $26-27,000.

Drove by the local Kia and out of the corner of my eye spotted a Maverick! Very rare sight indeed. So I checked it later and that came up. Unreal. 47k. Doesn't appear to be FX 4 or any other special package, looked pretty plain jane admittedly was out of the corner of my eye. Seems similar to the Mav I was going to spec out for 25k before all the issues (AWD, 2.0, and thats it pretty much). And this is not a major metroplex either.

If I had bought that for 25 and thought I could get anywhere close to 47 it'd be gone LOL. Probably similar to what whoever traded it in was thinking!

Back to Colorado, I love the current Colyy body style, as well as the ranger. Judging by the new Frontier I feel like the upcoming remodels of the Colorado, Ranger etc. might be a step back for my personal taste in exterior looks. Or at least take some getting used too. However I bet their interiors will be much nicer with much larger infotainment screens. Which is an area the Mav has a big step up in vs the last gen Ranger/Colorado/Tacoma etc.

A new Colorado was cheaper than my Maverick. I had a 2016 and liked a lot of things about it but it had a TON of "GM" specific issues in the 68k miles I owned it-enough to keep me away from another one.
-steering shaft failed at 34k (warranty covered)
-driver's door armrest material shrunk and peeled up (not covered)
-driver's seat came unstitched at seam (not covered)
-Check engine light that would never go off no matter how much $$ was thrown at it
-All paint on roof and hood failed (not covered)
-Sloshing water sound in dash every time you accelerated (known issue with heater core)

It drove good, got good mileage and the infotainment was flawless-factory Kicker sub was great. Just too many problems for my liking. I am meticulous at keeping vehicles serviced and cleaned-none of this was abuse.

Uhhh, you can't compare the price you paid for a '16 Colorado with that of a '22 Maverick and say not was cheaper.
