Have these "dead battery" harness issues been traced to confirmed build lots yet?

Or is everything still a speculation at this point?

Hard to assess if it's just a bolt vs crimmed solder in one spot? or the entire harness has flaws?

The reps from Ford here are real quick to chime in when they are confident in providing a solution by asking for your vin and service dealer info.

But this issue from my understanding is still nebulous in its cause and final solution to replace the majority of the power harness seems hardcore.

I am the Original Poster (OP) and I agree.

Moderator/ @Administrator please remove those opinionated/ argumentative post that add nothing to the purpose of this thread.

The purpose of this thread is not to ascertain the number of failures as a percent of total or partial production numbers, the purpose of this thread is to systematically document those fixes that have been applied at different dealers so that there is reference material to study the failures and come up with a verified fix ... either by Ford or by virtue of repetition and/or road testing.

If you feel the need to post to deny, discredit or downplay that there are any HYBRID failures occurring, there are plenty of other threads on this forum where you can accomplish that with like minded individuals ... you know who you are.

In the mean time we'll continue to document fixes so that anyone that might need this information - including today's naysayers - can benefit from it in the future if needed.

Well my Ford Pass APP has had the deep sleep warning on it since the 15th and I could not refresh any of the data. Today the deep sleep warning is gone and i can see current data and location. I tried calling the dealer about the status as it appears to have power via the app but no response. Guess I'm stopping there again today to see what's up...

I reported my dead hybrid just now to the NHTSA. not going to do much good as there is only one other dead hybrid reported. Everyone suffering with a dead hybrid needs to report theirs as well.
I just got a call from my Dealer and, sooooo....check this out, he said the Ford hotline told the tech to ask me to disable the Ford Pass APP as they believe that the module that the APP communicates with in the truck is bad, and that by disabling the APP they will be able to tell if that is the issue.

Could be nothing but a coincidence BUT ... when my HYBRID died, it was about a 1/2 hour after I had installed, activated, and used the Ford APP to set a few things on the truck.

..
I can not find the thread but this has been mentioned before, and at least one member suggested not activating the Ford APP.

I know that the Gen 5 Toyota RAV4 hybrid had the same problem. The data control module went all wonky when certain things were activated by the user and it drained the battery. No start. Software updates took care of it but it was quite a mess.

Of course bad solders and crimps are an entirely different thing. I am hopeful Ford will get to the bottom of this. As a forever flip phone user I can not activate the APP on my hybrid MAV. Lucky me? Dunno. Three thousand miles and no problems....so far.

Dealer called me this morning, my hybrid has had power all weekend and is not tripping any codes. I deleted the truck from the Ford Pass App as instructed and now it appears to be functioning. I will pick it up after work. Hopefully all is good now.

Did they replace the bad module?

This is completely speculative, but I constantly hear my hybrid clicking and making noises even after the truck is locked. Should I be concerned or is that normal behavior?

Normal. Please take the time and do a search to learn more about it.
